NEW PRODUCT ADDED!! http://tonehammer.bigcartel.com/product/diezel-hagen
-
Your profiles are great!
Keep em coming cause I want more!!
haha. -
Just tried the Engl Savage profiles and I liked them so much I've also bought the JCM800 (great) and the Hagen (fantastic).
I really like having the whole gain range of the amp profiled, and the choice of cabs is nice; the merged nature of the profiles also means lots of tweaking ahead, but these are really good straight out of / into the box.
Good value too.

here is the Diezel in action. no TS loaded with the 1960 cab. just hp/lp, VCC and VTM on the bus.

Do you make the profiles with a DI Box connected to the speaker out? So that the power amp section of the amp is profiled as well?
-
yes those are all merged DI profiles with seperation
-
Bought the Hagen profiles yesterday. They sound very good to me. But for me they sound a bit like there are 3 different cab profiles copied to a bunch of different DI profiles. Gain differs but all profiles sound nearly the same.
-
Yes, They have all the same Amp Settings 1-13 = Amp Profile (channel info, Maxon yes/no in Amp tags) and 3 different cabs
Bass + Depth + Presence is always 12 o clock, with more Depth it will sound fat in a room but too boomy miced. Treble was around 12-13 o clock. This belongs to all channels
In Highgain in made Variations of Mids. 12 o clock sounded best to me but i made also 10 o clock + 14 o clock. So on the same cab - off course the difference will not be huge -
so if i get it right you use the same 3 cab profiles (probably made with another amp) on all hagen profiles?
-
yes because i mic always the same way, if the cab would be created several times there would be no difference at all, it would be exactly the same result. Sometimes i use fredman micing technic on the Marshall for example but that one fits not always, i choose cabs that fit but micing is always the same because the sweetspot does not change
-
The Hagen profiles are awesome. Thank you. Ten bucks spent well. Good job.
-
My all-time favorite Tonehammer studio profiles right now are MESA STUDIO PREAMP, ADA MP-1, ENGL Savage and the 5150 III ones are outstanding too. If I never had another new amp/profile to play through I could be quite content with just those. On the other hand I still can't wait to hear how the Diezel Hagen profiles sound.
-
Play them!
