Is this silver chicken knob or OUTPUT label instead of MASTER (but i's been changed like while ago)...

Never noticed this before.Just saw it and I think it looks better than the black one.
It was meant to be a "fun" thread anyway

Nah ... I like my black chicken head. I'm sort of a vintage guy and that's the only vintage thing on the KPA.

Now, if the knob was made from REAL silver, it would have been a big upgrade

Damn, that would be a huge drawback and they would surely lose a lot of customers.

I have black, silver and cream colored knobs stored away in a drawer... But, I gotta say... my CLEAR knob brings the tone

Wow, that's awesome looking!

Nuts . . now my Toaster is obsolete . . .

The old vintage black knob still sounds the best!
-
Man...the prices for the vintage "black-knob-era"-Kemper will sure rise now, as everbody knows that the black knobs had a much smoother tone
Or will we call them blackface/silverface KPAs?

Got a new kpa on Wednesday. Production date is April. Still a black knob, same as my old kpa. The colour of the front panel changed slightly from black to a black/ silver tone
-
Interesting!
Where can you see the production date? -
