Not sure if this is possible, but for someone like me who frequently covers keyboard pads/parts AND guitar parts, the ability to save loops to RM or even just locally to the Remote or KPA would sure be helpful.

Exactly, like other good loopers in the market. The looper should have a way to save loops and recall them from the same pedal board.

Any news on this request? I would also love to see ...
- the possibility to store loops (selectable, also via remote)
- configurable position (my current looper is at the end of the fx loop to record everything, including effects)
