Rig manager 3 without editor

  • the standard visual for an opening window is to have the arrow point in the direction which things will move when you press it.

If you press the Up arrow, the editor increases size upwards, if you press the Down arrow, the editor minimizes to the bottom :) So it is pointing at the direction in which things happen, isn't it?

  • But it is already closed when its pointing up so there is nothing to make smaller. This implies that you are about to make the entire RM window smaller. As there is no editor visible to increase when the up arrow is showing.

It is clearly backwards compared to the standard convention of almost every other piece of gear. There are a few things in Kemper land which might make sense if looked at from a certain angle if you only use a Kemper but are still contrary to standards adopted by everyone else. Most people use gear from multiple sources and it is confusing when they don’t use similar conventions.

  • But it is already closed when its pointing up so there is nothing to make smaller. This implies that you are about to make the entire RM window smaller. As there is no editor visible to increase when the up arrow is showing.

thanks for your input but we'll not change that again. as for the issues some have in regards of no editor shown, it's not relevant anyway.

  • if the editor doesn't open for anybody here, please contact support. there are a number of possible reasons and this is not as simple as it seems. it' rare but it happens and in a lot of cases, it is related to a specific hardware/software combination.
