Hi guys, I'm fairly new to the Kemper. I am running the Kemper Profiler direct into my Zen Tour and I was wondering, does anyone roll off the highs... maybe back to like 9K? I'm not sure if I'm hearing it, but it seems like on many of the Kemper profiles running direct has some sort of fizz or something... maybe it's just me? Not sure? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi, Storms of Evermore.
In Kemper parlance these are filters are called low cut and high cut filters.
You'll find the controls in the Output section (press the Output button) on page 5/8.
If you're relatively new to the Profiler, I hope these resources will help you. Click the last link to download the main manual.

Hi there! For anything with gain I run a low pass between 6000 and 8000.
It takes the harsh mic effect away and thickens the sound.

Awesome, thanks. The problem is, I recorded several albums worth of guitars... I mean worst case I could do them all again, but I've been rolling back to 5K... originally I thought it was 9K, but when I looked it's 5K. I'm finding that it's making them a bit flat... kind of? Thank you

Your approach is right in listening rather than thinking in numbers. If the low pass is only 6db, it will be a completely different frequency that works on an 18db slope.
I find that it is best to control the fizzy aspect with the filter and then look for harshness or aggressive frequencies with a narrow q. Another alternative if you are less experienced is to try the Oeksound Soothe plugin that finds those frequencies for you in real time and you adjust the amount of reduction.

I used a filter at about 6k until I started to learn to mix. Now, I leave it off and apply post-processing as needed during the mix.
