had to check and there actually is a volumeknob in the wah-settings -5 to +5
So if you set this to eg. +5 then when you engaged the wah by moving it, you'd get the volume boost?
Sounds very useful.

Perfect. Thanks everyone 👍 much appreciated
You don’t need to hit anything to engage the wah. Simply mov9ng the wah pedal would activate the wah and the toe switch would activate the boost.
Crikey.
So the wah is disengaged until it senses movement and then when you move it you get wah?
Then logically....what happens when you stop moving it? Does it immediately revert to no wah, Irrespective of where in the range of the pedal you leave it?
Thanks 👍
So just to be clear, I could set it so that I'd simply hit the toe switch, and that would in one tap engage both wah and the boost for solo?
Hi everyone,
Might be a daft one but here goes.
I have a lead in one of bands songs where I go from a very quick intense riff into a wah solo. I find it difficult to hit the lead switch on my kemper remote, then hit the cry baby wah switch.
I'm looking at buying a mission pedal.
1. Can I program it so hitting the pedal toe switch engages my lead tone as well as the wah?
2. What's people's thoughts on the pedal itself Vs classic wah pedals like the cry baby?
Thanks for any replies 👍
Noooooooo!
Left my Kemper Powerhead kettle lead at a gig and its gone.
I need to get a replacement pretty quick. What leads will be ok???
Thanks in advance.
Is this the type of thing I should be looking at?
Display MoreIs the latency a problem though?
I use a practice device that relies on Bluetooth to play along to songs. There is significant latency BUT because they are both the backing track and guitar sound are delayed, unless I try to play along to a video ( where the latency is visible) it doesn't matter - they remain roughly in sync.
In other words, if the source is the same for both audio i.e. both coming from the Focusrite then the latency is equal and the fact that the track is actually delayed shouldn't cause an issue???
An in ear solution is probably best though as suggested ( I have a couple of LD systems for sale if you in the UK!!). In my "studio", I use some old Sony RF headphones which also work quite well.
The transmitter would plus into the headphone out of the Focusrite & would carry signal from both audio source and kemper in parallel.
What systems do you have for sale? I'm in UK.
Bluetooth generally has far too much latency for ‘real time’ playing.
You don’t notice it if it’s just streaming music. However, if you then want to play along with that music through the Kemper in real-time, that is where the latency becomes a big problem.Maybe try a wireless ‘in ear’ system instead?
How would a wireless in ear system differ from bluetooth?
Morning all,
I run my Kemper and PC into a Focusrite 6i6. I've recently got a bigger room so I can walk about & do the whole posing at home like a rock star thing
Problem is that I run headphones out from the Focusrite & headphone cable is annoying.
Obvious solution seems to be a bluetooth transmitter from the Focusrite & buying a set of bluetooth headphones.
Has anyone done this or similar & any recommendations for gear to do it? Saw a few transmitters online but many have said not for instruments due to latency.
I've always found I needed the decimator. Maybe just haven't investigated the KPA noise gate enough?
EMGs into high gain profiles in a relatively small studio just seems to need it...
Hi,
I'm just about to take the plunge with a Remote as my current setup is causing issues.
I run a...
Powerhead
Guitar into ISP Decimator noise gate
Then boss tuner
Then cry baby wah
I run a boss switch to move up & down performance slots.
That's proving a bit clunky/restrictive & I've mishit a few changes in rehearsals which is poor.
Would you say the remote is a game changer & worth a buy?
Also, what set up would you do based on what I have at min?
(I play high gain metal BTW...)
Thanks for any advice 👍
Yes I pan hard L and R in Reaper. What I do not do is pan in the Focusrite so I'll give that a go 👍
Thanks again mate. As always, guidance much appreciated 👍 Tried the delay widener & whilst I'll need a bit of time with it to tweak, it is definitely what I was missing.
Thanks... My head is getting there slowly.
I have it set up exactly like you say... In fact it was you who were super helpful in getting me set up. 👍
So the stereo widener itself won't work on headphones from the DAW (I did have it in the slots you mention) but other options might?
Think I might have worked this out. Someone on a focusrite forum is saying all inputs are mono.
So I have two outputs from the KPAmain output, L and R, but I wonder if they are just going into 2x mono sockets on the Focusrite? Might that be reason I don't get the stereo widening effect?
If I pull one of the leads (the L kemper main output) out of the Focusrite, I still get sound in both headphones, if the headphones are coming out of the Focusrite. When I replace the other one (Kemper R output) it sounds better but still no stereo widener.
Just guessing obviously.
Now set to master stereo & don't really hear näy difference.
One thing is super obvious. Stereo widener through KPA headphone socket... Amazing. Effect non existent through Focusrite. Either monitor speakers or headphones.
This isn't just stuff sounding "nicer" straight from KPA headphone jack, it's stuff sounding totally different.
I have 2x cables going from Main Outputs L and R into the inputs 1 and 2 of the Focusrite.
Yep, output was master mono.
What do you mean by "effects all reduce"? Surely it would make sense for the output to your DAW to be the same as available from the KPA? The difference is HUGE.
