My headphone out sounds terrible, gutted I can't use headphones for silent practicing.
Just sounds so bright, brittle and digital

I recently swapped the magnet of a JB for an AlNiCo8
It's glorious!
what are the changes? Really curious
global transpose in the input section with operation from the remote would be a big help. Also an update to the transpose coding to improve it for clean rigs.
+1
Transpose work great for medium/high gain but not at all for clean sounds
If the problem is that the tone sound « hollow » try to play with definition control.
Little did I know when I posted this..... Fractal announced yesterday that they have finally obtained some processors and will be shipping the FM9 again. The interesting part is they had to move up to a more powerful processor because that is what they can get. The new processor is 10% more power. So, the FM9 I bought less than a year ago it technically outdated already. I swear this is the last unit of theirs that I spend my money on. I now know how the folks that purchased the FM3 without the headphone jack feel.
it’s not outdated it’s just have 10% less of cpu power.
They changed the cpu certainly because they couldn’t get the previous one anymore.
The « turbo » is purely Marketing.
i wish an level automation, that each rig has the same volume level in Balance for live settings
it depends too much on the gain and the player.
I had no problem leveling my performances.
I just plug the kemper into my Soundcard and daw, reach for about -12db on every rythm rig and voila. Boost levels for lead tone as much as you need and it’s done.
Really simple.
Interesting topic. This mean if you profile amp with high gain distortion and with low gain clean. And then you analyse the the audio signal of the profile vs the original amp. Then you can see with your eyes that the profile signal is more compress than the amp signal? So the profile remove the peaks?
I don’t know I’m a guitar player, I just trust my ears lol.
Less compression on the profiles.
If your outputs go to a mixer or interface then you have left/right balance if you need them. The same goes for outputs to PA or Studio Monitors. I'm trying to see a reason why you ask but I'm lost.
sometimes you need to have controls of left/right pan.
Even my old pod x3 live had it….
Input gain
Eq in cab block
Noise gate in stomp
possibility to save a tweaked profile with stomps (no modulation/reverb/delay of course) as a new one to save blocks.
And the app is firstly made to edit with an iPad. It’s’ not a kemper controller.
But they could release a separate app for that purpose.
Thanks, having zero experience with midi, I can see I’m going to have to do some research
I had no midi experience 2 Months ago.
Once you understand, it’s easy.
For this matter I think it’s better for you to understand how it works.
I use forscore and on each sheet it send midi program change to select the performance or the corresponding rig for the intro of the song.
I do it via midi to Bluetooth with a Yamaha bt 01
I bet if we had the same exact profile we still wouldn't sound like that performer, or even like the profile.
yes but the effects chain will.
Long Time requested, never been done lol.
Like the simple input gain a lot of us are asking
Just go stereo, don’t pan them too much on the desk.
And… find the right profile.
I use mbritt 69 Marshall, they sound really full at high volume.
#1 asking for commercial profiles to be shared is dangerously close to piracy
#2 The Kemper Rig Pack "Ace Skunk Anansie" are Ace's amps, set up in his way by him, mainly for his use but graciously shared with the PROFILER community. The same with the (internationally probably not well-known) german band Revolverheld.
Bert Meulendijk, Keith Merrow, ViViX the same thing.
And then there is the Michael Wagener Rig Pack, a compilation of all the tones he created for countless top-notch artists, sounds that defined an era of hard rock / metal.
why does kemper make tones video on YouTube (don’t remember the exact name sorry)that sound awesome and never published them on rig manager or on the site itself?
Can you post those rigs please.
I don’t understand why we can’t have them.
Thanks
