Do you use the time stretch feature while aligning stuff? Sounds really, really cool, if it works the right way.

I only tested it with the default settings on a few vocal tracks and it did a flawless job. Would have saved me hours and hours of work for my last album with all that capturing audio into revoice and then reimporting into Cubase.

Thx mate. Those damn messages always revert to german, when the admin updates the software. However, the message just says that you item has has been added to the basket. Checking out via the basket function should work. If not, please tell me.

    Cheers,

    Till

    Pretty-serious-sounding stuff, Till. Very pro.

    Well done, mate. ;)

    Thanks, mate

On the intro of this one i used the new KPA dual delay with the grit to maximum and the infinity setting. I love this tone

Can anyone advise if there are any guitar amp software packages that can compare to the Kemper?

    Simple answer: no

I recently tested nerly every state of the art software amp. If you know how to do EQ matching you can get high sounds to sound very similar when fully hitting the strings. But when it comes to dynamics and playing feel, nothing beats the Kemper. Helix Native, Bias... all of those sound like crap if you take a high gain rig and turn the volume pot of your guitar. I got decent results with Waves PRS Archon, but not even close to the KPA.

Basically this is true. However different users may dial in completely different amp setting which suits their tastes, speakers and the rest of their personal signal chain. This will result in different sounding DI amp profiles which will mix with other cab profiles with very different results. But experimenting is part of the fun.

One question:If you use the alternative input (back site of the Kemper), it routes the signal to the beginning of the signal chain (starting with slot A).
    How do you prevent this?
Maybe I understand your signal chains wrong.
Maybe you could explain it for dummies like me?
    :D

If you activate the stereo loop, the alternative input becomes the second return and does not function as the alternative input anymore. Thus the alternative input is inserted wherever you placed the stereo loop.

but personally if I had to reclock my interfaces (there'll be 3 acting as "one") to the KPA every time I wanted to record guitar and then remember to set them back to internal clocking it'd be a PITA.

With a decent interface like RME, there is no need to change clocking settings. You simply set your preferred clock source to SPDIF. If the KPA is turned off it automatically changes to internal clock master and also passes this clocking to my digital mixer which is connected via ADAT. So it works in any scenario.

Why use the Radar instead of the KPA cab section? However it will work of course as long as you use the stereo out of the mimiq into the return and alternative input. The mimiq will not work without stereo. Thus i don´t get the idea of the mini version of the mimiq which is mono only ... totally useless imo.

You can get a used X32 Producer for like 1000€. The good thing is that you can mount it in an angular rack like this:

This way you still have a regular interface with faders and don´t have to rely on smartphones and tablets to control it. So it can be used as a FOH mixer as well while you can still expand the inputs and outputs via AES50 (which is missing in the smaller units like the XR18) and use something like SD-16 these as digital multicores. We use all 25 mix buses wither for the FOH stereo mix, stereo inear mixes for each band member as well as subgroup mixes which can be fed to an external FOH mixer.
