Agreed, I'm not holding my breath for a Wagener rig pack. It could happen, but I would be pleasantly surprised if he did release one. What's in it for him? Most people don't jump at the chance to give away their work for free.
In my wildest dreams he would release some re-created signature rigs from bands he worked with in the 80's and 90's. While I'm dreaming, maybe Bob Rock would release a Metallica Rig Pack too!

Profiles sound fricking amazing! There has been tons of stellar stuff lately- and all for free! We should all be doing cartwheels!

What the hell? Now, after bashing the AXE II, you are saying this on TGP?:
"Now that said, only the Axe FX so far comes as close to the real thing as anything can get out there."
Did you even give the Kemper a try?
-
Looks nice and I don't mind paying for, what should be, a critical and integral part of the Kemper experience. LONG OVERDUE!

Lucky dog Give us your review when you get a chance.
I'm on the waiting list, hopefully my name comes up in the next few weeks. Then I plan on buying a second one around February.

KPA would be worth buying for this pack alone IMO!
My thoughts exactly!

These are some of the best profiles out there! Metal players, rejoice! This pack should be entitled "Metal Pack Toolkit"!

LEDs have been a bit of a problem, but it doesn't affect the functionality or usability of the unit at all. You can still view the levels on the screen. Having the Kemper rack, I'm now used to not seeing LEDs except around the Gain knob. I would still buy a lunchbox unit that has all of the LEDs dead. Anyone have such a unit for sale?

Definitely watch ebay, craigslist, and sites like the gear page for sellers that are near your location.

Wow, uncanny! I was searching for a 2203 andG offers the motherload! I've been trying to get a good Zakk Wylde tone for ages. This one nails it, as he uses basically the same amp. This one has KT-88s too, right?
I like Slayer too, though. A great/must-have offering for metalheads! -

The silence of the people of kemper is a bad signal for me. They don´t say nothing of the dead leds, probably because they have a problem with this leds, and in the most amps probably in the future the leds going off.
There are a lot of units with dead leds, and there are more un the future, the kemper team silence isn´t a good silence.
people should not buy more amps if the problem not resolved.......
I agree! A PSA statement would instill some confidence on this issue, but I'm betting we are not going to like the answer. Maybe they don't have a solution yet? Or, imagine if all units need to be recalled for re-soldering or additional mechanical work. Obviously, it's not a software issue. I guess we will know something when new Kemper units are released with a more reliable LED design?
Imagine the markdown on ebay for used Kempers with missing LEDs in a few years though! I need a second unit! -
The Profiler should satisfy even the snobbiest of tone snobs!
I've had the Kemper for 17 months and I must say, it has made me want to play guitar even more than when I was first obsessed with it at 17! ...And even after I had quit for 16 years!
I had the 11R a couple of times and if there wasn't a Kemper or an AXE out there, I would have been happy with it. But to my ears, there really is no comparing the 11R to the Kemper. I even use the same FR monitors I had with the 11R and still the difference is night and day. I still have three analogue amps, yet I play the Kemper about 4-5 times more, because I can get it to sound even better than the real deal. -
I suspect some like chasing the newer gear, just for the sake of having the latest and, allegedly, greatest. In reality, they just like being victimized by marketing.

Welcome aboard, I think you will be impressed
-
Welcome aboard fellow metalhead, Mike! The Kemper has made a believer of us all!
So are you letting loose your analogue gear now?
There are some great Friedman profiles available in the Rig exchange.
Hopefully, you'll share that BE-100 goodness with us! -
The Mesa Rectos are juicy indeed

I haven't read this thread before- it's a little unsettling!
I haven't had any problems with LEDs, but I have the Kemper rack right, so fewer LEDs to go out. Anyone have any problems with the display screen though? For some reason, a single line went out in mine. Like many of you, I loathe the idea of sending it to support. I don't want to go Kemperless for an indefinite period of time!!!
