Did Andy ever profile the amp yet?
Not yet, but I saw him last week and we talked about it, it is still in the pipeline, he is just finishing doing an amazing old Vox amp, then maybe after that.

Marshall or the 2 Fender packs, all awesome !!!
For me it's like this, it all depends on how "live" the room is when full of people which, lets be honest will be done by the front of house peeps to sort in the mix out front Also a general rule is the more reverb / delay you use the more the guitar will be pushed to the back of the mix, so I feel for live work a general rule is less is more unless of course the music has a lot of space then the reverb / delay would have more room to breath and shine through.
Thats my take on it anyhow
A shot of th desk, sorry about poor picture quality, Andy is currently having a new studio built so only has some of his gear available
I think if I had a VOX from Abbey Road it would easily replace my Teddy Bear!
Better that Andy has it, lest I drool in my sleep and ruin it.
I'm definitely gonna get this pack. Andy's on a Roll!
The Vox is great but I also tried something other things, believe me the future is looking very exciting
I will discuss it with Andy next time I see him
Sounds like fun!
I might even fly over some time to be with you guys.
That would be awesome mate, you would be very welcome.
Yep this Vox is awesome and Andy is a real perfectionist so he is taking his time to get it exactly right
And to boot it spent all those years in Abbey Road, just imagine all of those famous people that have used it on recordings, was a real treat to try that beast.
Awesome night last nite Cybertwin. I was feeling the late night at work today though lol. You and Andy were in your element with ya Les Paul's and Strats/Tele's I was just screaming more gain more gain lol Yeah Andy is just a great chap to talk to and his knowlegde of amps and sound engineering is incredible. I love listening and taking it all in
Yes mate was a good night indeed
I'm jealous here.
Any pics?
Only a couple mate not great quality, will try me get some more next time up there
I had the great pleasure last night in company with Raoul from these forums of visiting Andy from The Amp Factory at his studio, what a nice friendly helpful chap he is !! We got to play some amazing profiles, some new and some not yet released one of which is a 1964 Vox Top Boost which he has found a new way of profiling, this I have to say is just bloody amazing, it spent many years at Abbey Road but has now ended up in Andy's hands and the profiles although in their early stages are awesome.
He also gave us an insight into things to come and I have to say if you think it is a good at the moment just wait for the next year, some incredible things in store.
Am off to see him again hopefully soon and maybe be able to get a few piccy's of the amazing amps and guitars he has in his personal collection will I will stick up on here if anyone interested.
He he welcome to the dark side lmao
Welcome back
you're welcome...but the key is to play LOUD..it sounds a bit dull at bedroom level (with my LP) I also had to raise the volume of the cab with about 4dB to match the other cabs
Ok will give that a try thanks
sounds great...had to check out the profile and found that it's great ...but the cab is amazing!! ..it sounded so good that I locked it and played through all my profiles I recommend you give this cab a try..and play it LOUD..it's in the same league as Tills IMO but so far I've only tried it through studio monitors (loud)...great work with this one cybertwin
Wow thank you that's high praise indeed, glad you liked it
Hi and welcome
Very cool mate, reminds of a band that was over here a few years back called Jellyfish
Here they are on YouTube
You're very welcome, sounds great, which guitar did you use ? Lovely tone and playing
Oh and how could you go see Andy and leave me behind lmao
