Here's my adaptation of Mozart's theme:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?…=UUgRHhFzqujQD2bKj-kRPnugI love the version from Angelica with Steve Vai on guitar, so I did a guitar cover. I had good fun, experimenting with SPDIF for the first time (and it worked!).
Also I discovered the difference of tone between using a real cab in the room versus cab sim for recording, can't use the same profile for both application but this is a discussion for another part of the forum! -
I've installed a G12H75 into the box of a Bugera V5 amplifier recycled into a cab. That small amp comes with a 10 inch speaker, but I could never find a tone that I like; I noticed that it's just the size for a 12 inch speaker if you take out the chassis, and replace the grill cloth front. This was my february workshop, and I'm so happy, I like the real cab tone much more than the studio monitors tone!

that video made me buy a KPA
me too! I sold 1 guitar + 1 amp to be able to afford the KPA because of that vid. But I could never tweak the Tiny Teeny Feet profile to get that tone... I will keep digging though. It will be mine. Oh yes. It will be mine.

Yes I'm curious too!

I tried the clean one and it sounds and feels amazing: thank you!!

Hi vberns,
I use the KPA+11R setup for recording, I'm happy with the tone but I haven't tried SPDIF yet. What I did is plug the KPA into the left and right LINE IN inputs of the 11R, so I can arm 2 tracks when recording. Someone mentionned this wiring here in the forum, and it seemed to me like the quickest way to get good tone and just hit record. There are alternative ways than SPDIF for reamping with the 11R, there is a thread already discussing this topic here on the forum, just need to dig a bit! -
The cool thing here is that while members may occasionally be lazy (i.e. RTFM), founding members us this as a gateway to building this forum's community.
And that's what's great about this forum; the community part.
If new members were NOT greeted by Ingolf, Paults, Viabroce and yourself, who maintain a high level of contact with new members and others, this would be like so many other forums: static & semi-hostile
I guess what I'm saying is: You Guys Rock!!
I want to seize the opportunity to thank the community for all the things I learn almost every time I check in. I don't post a lot, but I am grateful for the vibe of this forum, the level of knowledge of the members, the generosity, and creativity that has helped me a lot with the Profiler. Big up!
-
I got the Champ profiles and they're great! Love the cleans but the other ones too, and the fullness you describe is totally surprising so you did an excellent profiling job.
I've been looking to get a 5F1 DIY kit to put in a Bugera V5 chassis for some time, so I was really happy to find the profiles in the meantime.

Cool it worked for you!
I just repeated what support told me to do, there seems to be several people who had this issue...it's the only awkward thing that happened to me with the KPA since I've got it, and the beast just keeps improving, what a ride!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share with you this demo I did for some great pickups: the Big John model from Nicolas Pain, a french handwound pickup maker.
Here is the demo : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N6SN6vdlUI
the Big Johns are a reproduction of the Big Dipper pickups found in the John Mayer signature guitar, I was so enthusiastic when I tried the pickups I did a full demo.
and if you want more info about the work of Nicolas Pain, here is his website: http://www.nicolaspain.fr/
The KPA did the rest of the sound of course!
Enjoy!

Will try those, thank you Andy!

Hello,
here's my new guitar song adaptation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…=UUgRHhFzqujQD2bKj-kRPnugI used the Gary Moore Lead profile, tweaked quite a bit, and I love it!
this song has great chords, jazzy stuff with solid groove, so the energy keeps you awake for the changes
enjoy!

love your work, thanks for the discount!

"Slow Dancing In A Burning Room", what a song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…=UUgRHhFzqujQD2bKj-kRPnug

Hi everyone,
wanted to share my first vid with KPA guitar tone:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…=UUgRHhFzqujQD2bKj-kRPnugprofile comes from Andy's Goldfinger with more gain; I'm not too happy about my rendition, guitar too loud, and a couple of exaggerated bends, but I kept it anyway... The lesson here is never to record on the first day after a two week break, when your enthusiasm exceeds your ability!
