...and....what do you think of the Kabinet?
Thanks for asking.
I haven't had time to fully explore the Kabinet, but it's been fun to play through it in stolen moments.
I don't usually play with a guitar cabinet. My live gig rig is the Profiler run through a Bose L1 Pro32. Sometimes I'll run two of them for stereo, but usually just one.
Last year, I hooked up a couple of class D amps to a pair of EV M-12Gs to try the amp in the room thing. I enjoyed the novelty, but I wouldn't use them live, so I put them away. Except for this experiment, I haven't used a conventional guitar amp/cab in eighteen years.
I got the Kabinet to check out the speaker imprints. The idea appealed to me - something new to explore. My appreciation for the Kone technology is muted because the effect is inseparable from the amp in the room experience.
I'm not the target customer for Kemper anything. I'm much more of an "if it feels good, it is good" kind of player. I don't invest hours in the pursuit of tone. However, I can get to that "feel good" place very quickly with the Profiler.

Is this helpful?
That information refers to the router's connection to the internet, not the private network.
I looked at the user manual for the ARRIS NVG448BQ. The DHCP on/off seems to apply to both wired and wireless connections.

Hi Grooguit.
The monitory outputs on the Stage are unbalanced.

It sounds like the Profiler is not getting an IP address from the router. See IP address that starts with 169 to understand how I came to that thought.
I'm assuming the Profiler and the iPad have to be on the same subnet. This can only happen if the router is configured to make this happen.
On the router:
- Do you have DHCP enabled?
- If not, the router can't give the Profiler an IP address that's on the same subnet as the iPad.
- Do you have a limit on the number of connections (a small range of DHCP addresses available)?
- If you do, there may not be a free IP address to assign to the Profiler.

Hi, musicmad.
Are you using W/D/W live, recording, for rehearsal, or something else?
I like to run the same setup for rehearsal and live, but I may stray from that for exploring options or just goofing around. It's lots of fun, but I don't see it being practical to scale up for a live show except, maybe an intimate solo project.

Hi, merseymale
I have connected the laptop and the KPA With a USB cable and going into the help section and clicked on “check for software updates” it seems to offer an in-store to 7.3 .2 but each time I click on “install updates” it fails….. any advice, anyone?
Are there any error messages? Are they on the computer or the Profiler?
Let's try USB again.
We've established that if you want to go the USB route, you need to install 7.3.2 first before you can get to the current version.
Get it here: https://www.kemper-amps.com/do…8/Older-Software-Versions
- On the USB stick remove all versions of kaos.bin.
- Copy the 7.3.2 kaos.bin into the root directory of the USB stick (not in a folder)
- Turn on the Profiler
- Insert the USB Stick
- Follow the prompts on the screen
If this doesn't work, please tell us exactly what you see (error messages or indications things are not working properly).

What version of the operating system do you have installed now? Note the highlighted section in the image below. If you need 7.3.2 go to https://www.kemper-amps.com/do…8/Older-Software-Versions

Hi, merseymale.
The easiest way I know is to install RigManager and let it handle the firmware updates. It will detect if your system is out of date and offer to update it for you.

Hi, patrick2099.
Check in Rig Manager. I found them at the bottom of Rig Packs. They should have been installed automatically with Rig Manager Version 3.2.48.1248. I missed them at first because they appear at the bottom of the list of folders.
My guess about the error message: If you tried to install them in the Rig Packs folder - that folder is read-only. We can't copy files in there.

Hi, Strat999.
Welcome to the community and congratulations on getting your Profiler. What model did you get? If not a Stage, did you get a Remote?
Tweak away to your heart's content while you're waiting for your Yamaha HS reference speakers. What model are you getting?
Expect to change those tweaks when you set up the new speakers. I'd connect them to the Profiler Main Outputs. Here are some resources to help you get the most out of your Profiler.

For those of you running Wet/Dry/Wet - what's your application? Where and why do you do it?
Is this for recording so you can separate the Delay and Reverb from everything else?
Do you use Wet/Dry/Wet when performing?
I just got a PowerHead and Kabinet. I usually run Main Outputs: Master Stereo and don't bother with a separate monitor. Since I have all the gear, I thought I'd try Wet/Dry/Wet.
Click the picture below to see the settings I use.
Someone suggested I set the MONITOR OUTPUT output source to Stack. Here's why I didn't.
If you set
MONITOR OUTPUT with Output Source "Stack"
and
MAIN OUTPUT with Output Source "DLY/REV Wet"
Anything you put in slots X or MOD will not be heard.
That's why I set
MONITOR OUTPUT with Output Source "Mod Mono"
Unfortunately, Double Track (or anything in X or MOD) is only heard through the Monitor output in mono. We've already talked about that in Double Tracker.
Edit: Adding this video for anyone new to the concept of Wet/Dry/Wet

Thanks, nightlight.
I appreciate all the thought and ideas you put into your reply.
I've accepted that the Double Tracker is not compatible with W/D/W. I'd need W/D/D/W and that's more than I want to invest just to experiment with the sound.
For now, when I want to hear the Double Tracker, I'll just run Master Stereo to the Main Outputs and mute the Monitor output to the Kabinet.
Cheers!
