Welp...curiosity got the best of me. I'm going in.
Tone report shortly.
And...they sound amazing! Well done, Lance. I really like the /13 profiles.

Best? Can't say. But my Beyer DT770's are ten years old and going strong and they sound incredible no matter what I throw at them. Plus they are ultra comfortable.
If these ever die I would absolutely buy another pair immediately.
Artist Mode is a hidden setting, I think it's maybe used so Kemper can let people they trust test new features without making them available for everyone yet.
How does one activate such a setting?
I assume everyone knows about Artist mode ?
I do not...explanation please!
After finding out yesterday that you can get a clock on our remote by clicking the unlabelled 2nd soft button under the remote section of System (Cheers Greenblob), are there any other little gems hiding in our box of tricks that anyone knows about?
This is news to me! Coolness!
I want the 900 bad!!
One of my favorite recorded tones on a demo I did years ago was a 900 panned hard left, dual rec panned hard right. The 900 was unreliable though so it mostly sat collecting dust and I eventually sold it. I feel like I'm about to buy it back.
This reminds me of the gig where I spent 10 minutes in a state of panic trying to figure out why my rig wasn't working. I checked everything! Every cable, pedal, power supply, speaker connection to amp, and couldn't find the problem.
Turns out, I never plugged the cable into the guitar.
In my defense, I usually go wireless.
Free rigs? Tons of good ones.
That was interesting and also German.
Thanks for the great responses guys. Glad the profiles are working for you.
Any of you guys have any experience with the Periscope app? I was thinking of doing some live broadcasts and answering questions, etc. Let me know if any would be interested.
That would be amazing, Michael. Count me in.
Talk about a bad week to have my guitars in the shop. I bought all the new profiles the day they went up and I haven't been able to check them out. Grr.
AHHH TAKE MY MONEY!!!!
Can't wait to try these.
Hey... I had this problem over the weekend but it seemed to be intermittent. I think the issue had to do with having the specific performance and slot selected before changing the name. It took a couple of tries but I finally got it to work.
Awesome, thanks for the recommendation.
Now my next question will be how to get those early Billy Gibbons tones.
I'm also curious what you guys are all using to duplicate the VH sounds. We are looking to finally cover some VH from the VH II through 1984 and I really want to capture the essence of each era.
I will definitely check out Pete's tone match profiles.
I've tried Bias Positive Grid, and it sounded extremely harsh to my ears. Too much fizz. If this uses the same technology and it probably does then there's nothing new except for the hardware format. The name "Amp Match" appears in their version of Positive Grid. You can buy the positive grid mobile app 20 bucks if you have an IPad and it has "amp match"

Yeah, I tried Bias including the desktop version and I really disliked it. Not sure what this Bias Head is all about, but I am sufficiently happy with my KPA.
From a software or plugin perspective, to my ears Scuffham S-Gear is light years ahead of everything else.
The eq is available to tweak the sound to match the reference amp. Any tweaking done here will affect the sound of the profile. I'm not sure it matters which guitar you use to profile as the resulting profile can be tweaked to match whatever guitar you plan on using. That said, I'd use the P90's because to me they are a cross between a single coil and humbucker, so the resulting profile will be a good middle ground starting point.
Yeah, the Dirty Shirley profiles made their way into my steady rotation at my last gig. As did the Hedgehog, Ceriatone ODS, and Vox AC30. But now I really want to try the Fuchs ODS, Diezel, and a few others.
Love it! The Dirty Shirley and Helios profiles are in my top five favorites.
Mind if I ask what we're your vol main output settings on KPA and dxr10 just for reference. I want to tweak some rigs at average gig levels.
Not 100% sure but I think somewhere in the -20db range. I was using a balanced XLR and the signal is very hot coming out of the Kemper.
Hey all. Last night was my first cover band gig with the KPA and I just wanted to share my experience with you.
Just some background... As I may have mentioned in an earlier post, my band covers rock from the 60's through 90's. We are a simple four piece: vocals, bass, guitar, and drums. Needless to say I have to cover a lot of ground sonically throughout the night. Also since play small to mid-size rooms and we have limited gear, the only thing going through FOH is vocals; instrumentation relies on stage volume, which does tend to create certain challenges.
Anyway, the Kemper was an enormous success last night. Here are some highlights:
Tone wise, I lived on the M. Britt profiles most of the night, specifically the Suhr Hedgehog, Victoria Double Deluxe, Vox AC30, Dirty Shirley and Ceriatone ODS profiles. Most of these were stock profiles with some mild tweaking in the effects department to meet my needs. Throughout the night I was stunned with the quality of tone I was achieving and my playing definitely benefitted from the awesomeness. I had a great night.
Cute story: Between sets I was approached by two guitar players asking where my amp was set up as they wanted to check it out. I pointed at my KPA rack and DXR and said, "right there, bros." They apparently were not familiar with the Kemper, so I explained my rig to them. Both of these guys were completely shocked that I was not using a tube amp. They were sure I had a mic'ed up and cranked Marshall stack set up backstage. I found that kind of funny since we were playing a small bar and there was nowhere to stow a stack of guitar cabinets.
