Would rather have a Kemper VST.

Anyone here have a favorite EXDrummer 2 expansion pack for rock and/or a favorite for metal?
-
I use Rig Manager to preview rigs. The rest is unnecessary.
Don't agree.
For people who record, and have the Kemper in a rack on the other side of the room, an editor would be god-sent. And selecting an effect preset from a drop down menu is much faster than scrolling through 20-30 with a knob (not to mention selecting an cabinet if you have 100s stored). Moving though 6 pages to set up a delay is no fun at all. Plus, I have bad eyesight, and bending over and reading text on the little Kemper screen is a pain in the a**.

It's not needed. The brilliance of the Kemper is how simple it is to work with. Why use software when you can do everything on the unit itself?
Because it is much faster to use a proper editor. But i guess you don't use Rig Manager either?
Looks like they are losing customers because of the lack of an editor:

Any news?

Or, buy LT at $800 and Native for $99, as I hear that will be possible.
It's $299 for LT users.

Apart from my own profiles of my AC 30 HW I like Top Jimi's '63 Vox AC 30 profiles best.
In this case better than the other offerings of TAF, Britt and Meulendijk which I also own because TJ has succeeded better in capturing the certain sweetness/chime of a great AC 30. the AC 30 (which are legacy factory content AFAIK) as well.
Agree, those are amazing.

So to sum up the info got about the Kemper this year....
Editor is coming.
Has that been officially confirmed?

There is no need for a sniffer. Most of the needed parameters are documented by Kemper (s. above). An almost complete MIDI transport layer is already implemented (5.0 functionality is missing) in the Toaster editor and working well.
Is support for the new features in FW 5 planned? -
This was the most powerful/authentic Kemper video ever made, IMO.
Most TGP guitarists/scientists and others are missing the point.
How it sounded to us listening at home was irrelevant, we shouldn't even be part of the equation.
The authenticity of the 'test' was the fact that Rob Chappers and Lee Anderton were sitting in the room next to a cabinet playing the guitar, they weren't hearing what we were hearing.
The fact that Chappers was completely fooled by his own signature amp is game, set and match Kemper.
The fact that Chappers will now tour with a Kemper is the end of the story. But where is the Kemper?

You guys can say whatever you want to say but even based on clips alone, kemper recorded tones in regards to realism and musicality are untouchable by anything in the modeling world, the above video you posted was done in the spirit of fun but in regard to real world comparison, you gotta be a fool to even consider it as an actual representation of what each of the units are capable of. Kemper is in a league of it's own and here's the proof.
Check these kemper clips and search the whole wide world web for anything from AXE II to Helix to Bias and if you find anything that you think is in the same ball park, then post a link to the video or clip. Very easy task, find the best Marshall tone from any modeler, or anything Bognar from any modeler that can touch these tones (Raw Amp tones), and then you can come with a straight face and say that they're even comparable. Let's do that in the spirit of fun just like the opening post video. I will not post any Marshall from Bias , Helix or AXE so I don't get accused of being Biased and picking bad ones, but everything even the best that I could find sounds like absolute crap compared to the Kemper profiles,. so I let you do the picking ad good luck finding anything that's within a mile .
Here is an Axe-Fx tone match of one of the Top Jimi profiles. The first half is the profile, the second half the Axe-Fx (or maybe the other way around).

Has anyone had success with the editor and OS5? Thanks in advance.
It works, but does not support the new features in v4 and 5. So you can not edit any delays at all...

I get you @Per but since Kemper Profiler does not follow the scheme of "traditional" modellers where you have 32, 64, 100 amps and cabs baked into the PROM - having ~8500 amps and 8500 cabs (just on RXchange) makes it close to impossible to use in a known workflow, where you construct your signal chain from pieces. Add sync times between computer and KPA to it and... If you want to read my thesis on it, I've done some analysis while back ---> Can we please get some kind of Kemper Editor Software for your computer
Any competent programmer will find a way to work around these "problems".

Hello guys,
I'm building my sound database, so to say, and took advantage of the TAF sale. So far I've bought the profiles listed below, but I was wondering if you could recommend a few others to complement my basic collection - I don't have any concrete needs at the moment, but the sale is nice I'm interested in blues/classic rock/modern rock/alternative - no metal or heavy stuff. I own a Strat and a PRS McCarty2.

the inspector comes up once you select a Rig from the search results. and then, you can edit everything required. at least here.
It is read-only here, and the Make Favorite option on the popup menu is disabled.
