Just ordered an E-Bow. Should be fun.

I see Kemper is looking for a new C++ developer: https://www.kemper-amps.com/jobs
Tasks:
- our platform-independent software framework
- of embedded and desktop applications
-
Turning on or off an effect, here or there, is a far cry from what people are expecting from a PC-based USB editor (think Fractal and Helix).
Have you actually tried the Toaster editor?
-
As I stated, some things were included in the recent updates and betas.
What do you mean?
-
I disagree.
There are quite a few very musical things the Profiler's delays can do that to my knowlegde no-one else can.
like combining a reverse, tape and pitchshifting delay into one effect.
and the amount of "reverseness" can be specified. The Profiler's delays are deep and as always the parameters were very carefully chosen and implemented to maximise the musicality while avoiding cluttering the user interface.
Yes, great delays. Unfortunately, it is a pain the a** to try to dial it in on 6 pages on the tiny Kemper screen...

Hello guys and a happy new year!
I just received the kemper rack version one week ago and i'm looking for great tones.
I'm interested to buy some profiles for live and studio use such as 5150 both Evh and Peavey / MarkIIc+Markv-JP2c / Rectifier / Friedman BE / Prs Archon. Any free great profiles?
Looking for a modern clean tight and articulate tone like Whitechapel, Tesseract, Periphery, Dream Theater, Meshuggah etc. Also need some eq tips for getting a clearer in your face lead sounds (i don't like boosts and drive stomps so much)
Thanks in advance!
Check out Choptones - lots of great profiles.
Two of my favorites:
PRS Archon 100W 6L6: https://shop.choptones.net/ind…ct/product&product_id=477
Engl Savage 120 E610: https://shop.choptones.net/ind…ct/product&product_id=234

Yeah I thought about that. Might be a little tricky and would have to be a purely voluntary donation. I know for a fact he wants the code to be open source.
Maybe we should start a crowdfunding campaign?
-
Maybe not on Namm, but I guess you won't find out until the dog is ready to wag its tail and you have have an editor!
@ Michael-DK - Well that is a valid issue. But in my view that could be built into the release language. In any event what is true is I looked briefly at when the Kemper came out. I think it was 2011 or so. Thus in 7 years we have no editor.... Think of how many lost sales that is. I am going to give it a shot and see if we can get some movement from the community on this one.
Take care,
LBThe Toaster app works great, except it does not support the new delays and a few other features added in fw 4 and 5. If it also had a Save button, the ability to rearrange effects and supported effect presets, it would be absolutely perfect.

I will say one thing as my 2 cents. I bought a rack unit and just the physical aspect of that in a studio demands an editor. Not many folks are able to build a rack next to the studio desk so they can twist knobs on the Kemper.
I just posted a new thread asking of Kemper to please provide an announcement on this highest viewed thread on this very topic of an Editor.
I have recently spoken with the developer of the alternative to the Kemper Editor. He actually had that effort pretty far along in a Toaster configuration. Alas he has little time to update to the latest firmware versions. Last I know of he had code that covered firmware version 4, if memory serves. His thoughts were the whole program needed to be re-written to not be one interface dependent and that the program could work with all Kemper configurations. At this point all work is on hold that I know of. Thus if Kemper will fill us in on where they stand Editor wise it might enchorage that developer to do more if no Editor is planned by Kemper....
Thanks,
LBGuess those editor rumors from NAMM last year were false then. What a shame.

Hey Kemper Fans,
We're happy to announce our latest profile pack, the Match 30 Pack (20 profiles). The Match 30 Pack seeks to recreate the sound of a Matchless HD-30 Head (30 Watts).
Speakers Used During the Profiling Process: Early 70s Celestion G12M Greenback; 1970 Celestion G12H-25 Greenback
Min to Max Gain Range (Scale: 0 to 10): 0 to 6
Profile Type: Studio and Merged
This pack offers a more modern take on vintage 30W British amp tones, as well as higher gain grit and drive. Useful for anything from country to blues to heavy rock. The profiles work great with either single coil or humbucker pickups. Great tones to be had!
Matchless HC-30 Background Info: The HC-30 is the head version of the DC-30 combo. Channel 1 of this boutique 2-channel head is voiced like a Vox AC30 on steriods. Channel 2 is a bit more modern, with more gain and grit.
Check 'em out, and let us know what you think.
Thanks,

Amazing profiles, as usual.

Can you guys recommend me a best online place to buy Superior Drummer 3? I rarely buy any plugins, so I don't really know where to look.
Thank you!

I hope that this VST version will NEVER happen! Why? Imo Kemper sales would drop instantly.
Line 6 seems to be doing fine.
-
Devin Townsend is a paid endorser of the AXE FX II.
Is he?
Fractal or Line 6 don't even have pictures of the amps that they say they modeled!!
My guess is for obvious reasons.
For the same reason profile makers don't do this, I would guess.
My guess is for obvious reasons. If we here are talking about the small differences between the profile and the real amp, imagine the customers' shock when and if Fractal or Line 6 were to ever release a video showing
Like this, you mean.

Fractal Axe

I know it's far away, but I'm pretty excited for NAMM 2018 and to see what's in store for the Kemper. Purely speculation, but does anyone have any ideas what could be released? I'm hoping for those reverbs we've all been waiting for.
An editor?

I know what happened because it happened to me, so Kemper as a company in my personal experience are way more professional than any other company in dealing with criticism. What you have done in this forum will guarantee getting banned in other companies website. You don't believe me, just go and ask them the questions about the amps they modeled and if they can possibly post pictures or basic demonstration of the accuracy of their modeling by showing those coveted amps and similar settings on their AXE II..
We invited Grammy-award winning producer/guitarist LARRY MITCHELL to dial in some tube amps during a studio session. By simply matching the knobs of the models to the knobs of the amps, we demonstrate how accurate the models are, and how easy it is to achieve a great tone with the Axe-Fx II or AX8. Larry toggles between both systems using a footswitch, and then demos the model over some backing tracks.

I see a big need for an editor for many people, even if kemper's amp-like hardware UI is better than many modellers.

September is the month of software updates. You never know what's around the corner.
