Latency while profiling...

  • I'm a new Kemper user and about to do some profiling with some of my tube heads. As far as I can tell this thing is going to be a great way to leave the tubes at home.

Here's my question... I usually use a Torpedo Live by Two-Notes with my tube heads and to be honest, miking up a guitar cabinet is a real pain the neck when I have all these great IR's and torpedo rigs available.

If I were to profile one of my amps through my DAW using impulse responses, there will be about 7-8ms latency because of the DSP in the computer. Can I profile this way or will the latency affect the profile and become "part" of the profile (for lack of a better word?)

  • Thanks for asking this question.

I've been wanting to try a sample delay plug in like Variety of Sounds Prefix to experiment with multi-mic phase adjustments.
