I am little bit afraid to update my firmware, because: if it is not broke, why fix it?
and i followed some threads where colleagues had a lot of problems with 2.1.0.
so once and for all time: do i have to update now (i am on 1.8.2. and everything is perfect) to 2.0.
THEN to 2.1. and THEN to 2.1.1.?
are there any known issues that some updates were not compatible with each other or is it simple?
you could update from 1.3. to 2.1.1. without problems? sorry, language problems!
is there a definite chain to do the update correctly?
How do i update correctly?

Just go straight to 2.1 dont think you have to worry about all the ones inbetween

yes thats correct, take a strong drink and go direct to 2.1

You can always update to a newer version without the need to install some or all versions between.Downgrading is usually possible, yet, features of newer versions etc. are getting lost in that case, of course.
Always make a backup BEFORE installing a new OS.

You can always update to a newer version without "jumping".
This exactly what i want to do: "jumping" from 1.8. to 2.1.maybe language Problem here, too?
anyway, what you recommend is a deep breath , a strong drink and the leap, correct?
has anybody experience with "jumping"? -
Make a backup and update directly to 2.1.1. You'll have no problems.

I updated directly to 2.1.1 from 1.8.2 just like you. No issues.

I can tell the community: it is like the sage said. the KPA did not explode but i am juiced ...
nah, c'mon. update went smoothly. input levels and output levels, all is well. so as far as my experience goes, because this is the
second time i jump (from 1.5. to 1.8.2, now from 1.8.2 to 2.1.1) this is not dangerous.a happy kemperian

OK- did the update & everything OK except it must have changed all my wah settings so that the wah is on and engaged (wondered why my rigs sounded weird all of a sudden!). I had it set to on and to activate only when I touched pedal. I'm sure it's an EZ fix- anybody have this issue?
