hi kemper is the best in tone and ease of use . i saw that tosin abasi from animals as leaders is using axe fx and hes using mytek ad/da convertors. he says it s better has anyone tried this with kemper hard to believe if it could sound any better .ps can you make a smiley with the kemper logo

I have compared the Kemper SPDIF vs Kemper analog out to Mytek AD.
There is a difference though one is not better than the other and for me SPDIF is much more convenient.

If you are top pro recording engineer and doing a lot jazz vocals or classical recordings this might make sense. Using such a device to capture a guitar signal that previously went through other digital conversions? Snake oil

i would think it'd be more important to use for the input vs. the output...

Yes on the input side the difference could be relevant to some extent (if this feature was available) . On the DA side although it makes a difference I don't think it is really a matter of concern since we are talking "guitar amps" where by definition signals are not unreasonably wide ranging in terms of frequency responses.
Benchmark, Mytek, Lavry, Prism and Burl all sound nice hooked up the the KPA (haven't tried other ones with the KPA) but it is not something you would want to loose your sleep over. If profiling through an external AD was available than that could be an interesting thing to try out.

There's a lot going on in A/D conversion, and if there's no dithering on the KPA (which i doubt there is) then there's quite a bit going on in the opposite direction as well. Don't rule out anything before you try it.
As for Tosin, IIRC he said it 'felt' better, not 'sounded' better.
With that said, for the price of the Mytek, there's a big, big bunch of other stuff i'd buy first. -
thanks guys for input as i said before could it make it any better well i think its the best so im more than happy peace to all

Spend time playing, don't worry too much!
I haven't had a look at the specs but I assume the KPA is doing its math way higher than 24 bit so it has to dither down before output somehow.

I don't think the Profiler uses more than 24bit internally, because the Freescale DSP is 24bit.
