No not rickety, but it is a little fiddly to set up. Mine came set up for sitting, and it seemed firm, and I switched it to standing mode and it took a little effort to understand how that hook is supposed to work, but its fine once you get it. I'll take a look again when I get home and see how it feels if I switch it back to sitting mode. It make take me a day or so to write back (busy night tonight) so if anyone else uses it in sitting mode, they may have a better and timelier response.

Yes, it's absolutely stable in standing mode, but when in sitting mode, seems like it slides around a bit. A picture on the appropriate placement for the hook in sitting mode would be appreciated!

Ok, just got done switching it back and forth into sitting and standing modes. It's quite solid in both configs. Here are some photos.
Here it is in the sitting config.

Note that in this mode there is a plastic tongue, that has to poke through the bottom. That holds the back end of the moving pedal assembly firmly onto the base.
You can see it sitting in its slot on the left side of this picture below.

Hope this helps.

+1 for fc7
very good quality, doesn't move on the floor, precise, just big enough -
Thanks for the pictures, DIgitalBliss. I have it set up like that, except I don't know where the little hook is suppose to go. I have mine just pressed against the underside of the box connected to the footpedal. If you can get that on camera, I'd appreciate it.

You can't really see the hook in this config. It's sort of buried inside the pedal. If you take out the hook screw and lift the pedal assembly away from the base, you will see a slot in the bottom of the box that the hook goes into. It should not just press up against the bottom. If you get the hook in the slot, it will grab the base of the box when you put the screw back in and tighten it. It will sort of clamp the box, or pedal assembly, to the base. That should solve your problem.

Thanks, DigitalBliss. This is the information I've been missing! Appreciate you taking the trouble to guide me on this!

Any time man.

This is kind of related to this thread (switches/exp pedals recommended...) - does anyone know of any MOMENTARY switches for use with the Kemper ...?
For example, do those Boss FS-xx square footswitches work as momentary ones ?
Thanks
-
Yes, FS-5U, FS-6 and FS-7 work as unlatching switches.
-
Great, thank you for responding!
Just to confirm - that can work as a momentary switch (ON as long as held ON) as well as straightforward ON/OFF latching?
Thanks
-
Yes.
-
Quick question regarding the Kemper Remote... Do any of the switches allow for MOMENTARY latching? or must you have a separate 3rd party pedal for that kind of function eg. a BOSS FS-6 or the like mentioned above... ?

If you enable a fast/slow leslie switch, the Remote works that way. If you need to control a different effect with that kind of switch, I suggest posting a feature request, so they see your idea in a separate post.

i Have this exp pedal for my nord stage piano - I plugged it into port no.4 on my kemper remote to control wah etc and its just not working.... any ideas?
I checked on the effect settings and had it set to no.4 etc..

Switches are currently not supported on the remote inputs, they have to be connected to the Kpa inputs 1 or 2. It is supposed to work in future firmware release.

I sure wish they would add the switch function to the remote
