Hi folks,
I'm struggling to find clean profiles that sound great just with the amp stack - no stomps, no reverb, no FX 'sugar'.
Up to now I have tried free and commercial profiles for AC15/30s, Twins, Princetons, Boogies - but none have been particularly inspiring.
I play a MusicMan Albert Lee HH and use 2 x Mackie SRM350 FRFRs.
In most cases I have had to drop both the Clean Sense and Distortion Sense to the 9 o'clock setting and set all volumes to 0 in amp & cab, as I was finding that it was clipping when I played hard.
What are your favourite clean profiles? And do they sound good enough to play dry?
Help! Even considering going back to a real tube amp... but hate the idea of faffing round with speakers, biasing etc again.
Simon

Definitly the clean profiles from Gord Olson and the clean soldano profile from Lasse Lammert. Both outstanding and my go-to profiles when I feel like playing clean!

Maz 8 profiles from Mikey Wang are pretty awesome.

My favorites so far are the TAF Gilmour and Tweed Pro cleans. I also like just turning the amp and cab sims off for cleans.

Factory Kemper AC30...add a Compressor stomp up front.
Every Friday night I watch a guitarist gig with ^ profile and the factory AC30 Top Boost (Compressor stomp upfront), and his live tone is incredible and very inspiring.

If you are clipping unedited Factory profiles (without a boost between the guitar and Kemper?), you may want to set the Input section to avoid overdriving the input of the Kemper, and then Lock it. You can Save and name the settings for that guitar, if you also use other guitars with it.

Thanks people - I'll give them a try!
