Imho the best amp sym for iPhone available since today.
Bias for iPhone
-
-
Yes, no doubt about it.
-
Did they just release for iPhone? I've have Jamup for several years and use it on vacation, but Bias has been shown just for iPad the last time I checked in on it.
-
Today 9 a.m. EST was the release for bias for iPhone.
-
Might give this a look

Will it work with an iRig jack?
Oh, I see, JamUp plug. $20 on Amazon.
-
I bought Bias for iPad, and used it with the Line 6 Mobile In device.
Was less than impressed. Sounded like the other apps (Mobile Pod, Amplitude..)
Can it be due to the Line 6 Mobile In device ? -
Yes, it's available since today and about $5 (for a short time).
Works good with the apogee interface.
NOT a 'Mobile KPA' but the best available.
-
... And now it syncs with JamUp on the iPhone as well
@ lef: it shouldn't be the interface, unless it's defective. I'd rather check the amplification system. What are you using for listening to the sounds? You need a good linear system in order to evaluate a modeller.
-
I'm thinking this might (with an iPod touch) be a quick & cheap second amp signal chain.

Yeah was thinking that myself but not compatible with iPhone 4

I'm using the same as with the KPA: Sennheiser HD598 headphones. Awesome tones with the KPA

I'm using it with an Apogee Jam and it sounds great!

Well, keep in mind that HPs don't sound the same with different devices, unless their HP outputs have the same impedance curve and the same output level. There can be huge differences among different devices, and some kinds of HPs can make these differences even more appreciable.

looks like a fun portable option for travel... may have to score this.
-
I ordered the JamUp but since someone mentioned it, I got it today and used it with my iRig.
Very impressed. This is the best on the market, and a superb practice amp for sure.
I am more impressed with this than any time owning the 11R.

Thanks for letting us know. I use the KPA with clean profiles mostly since I play/study jazz and I found many apps for iphone that are great for travel as someone suggested. Fender Amplitube, for example is very good for use while on vacation. I downloaded Jamup XT a while back but didn't like it as much as Amplitube due to the amp model. I will try Bias later when I get home, but I think I am going to like it better than Amplitube by the looks of it. I love the looper for practicing. It is impressive how good these things are sounding now.

I'm also able to get dynamics via my volume knob through their gain sims. Nice.
I think the dedicated software for latency speed and A/D conversation and I/O will always be a staple for performers. But this is quite another level for recording hobbyists.
