I always look right at the toaster while tuning. The FCB1010's screen has an annoying delay that drives me nuts while tuning...

Use the TC Electronic tuner in your iPhone.
Never really had an issue with the reading of the 1010 tuners indicators...if all fails, all my guitars have an NS mini headstock tuner. 
If my A string is tuned to A# (or vice versa), I won't need a foot pedal or the kemper to tell me.............That's right.......I said it..............

No it was pretty cool, i was playing octaves so everything was major 7th ified which was awesome.
