the beta is out for a while...
-
It's not "out". No public beta yet.
-
semi open / half public whatever you wanna call it. I don't have it - but some around here do.
So I guess the A to your Q is: soon.

Yes, that's right.
A private beta was announced a while ago. -

Have fun!
-
Fantastic timing! Super thankful for this!!!!
-
It's out! Take that! Way to go, Kemper Amplifiers. The have-nots should be happy now
-
Massive thanks to the Kemper guys for getting this out, I bought the KPA December. This has resolved so many issues, its a great feature. Very thankful for it now its out, but it should not of taken this long!

I have been reluctant to put too much time into rig organization before now, being a Mac user. I am glad I didn't have to switch to the dark side to get an editor :). Now, it would be great if the metadata had some recommended standards or abbreviations we could all use. This way we could all use the same abbreviations for different amps, cabs, effects, etc.. Maybe it already exists?

This has been discussed and proposed before.
I'm sceptical that this will ever happen.
People are too different to follow naming conventions to categorize 'their' rigs. -
I agree that consistency in naming/abbreviations would make the Rig Exchange a lot more useful. Kemper should let trusted volunteers go through the rigs and clean up/harmonize the names and tags.
-
That dilemma is the reason why I asked for including the rig source file name.
As long as the RigName is the - more or less - unique identifier one cannot really clean up this mess systematically without loosing the reference to the source.
-
Yeah.
Time ago I had suggested each rig or profile were assigned a unique alphanumeric identifier, to be embedded in the file itself. Pretty sure this will be useful somehow, at some stage.
