Those original (!) LEDs are green and only green.
Ezerath could have mentioned, that he didn't aquire a new unit.
One of the former owners of this unit could have mentioned, that he has customized this unit.
I have to mention, that such modifications are compromizing factory warranty.
just got my kemper. have a question

Quite misleading by the OP not to mention it.

Mhhh... probably he had no clue such thing would\could be done ...

Light in the dark....

probably he had no clue such thing would\could be done ...Maybe... In this case though it would have been the original seller's obligation to tell it's a modified unit.

Yep

I'd be rather upset if I purchased an expensive unit like this and then found that the warranty had been voided ...

Me too.

Damn....what kind of problems might this cause? Previous owner said he had it for 2 years with no problems.
Are there other problems that people have besides the LED's blowing out?
-
If I got Burkhard right, one of the previous owners has swapped the green LEDS for the red ones?
Or is it possible to change the colour by changing some current or otherwise tweak the LED board? -
relax & have a cigar you now have a collector KPA

Haha, +1, as long as the LED's are not broken who cares.
-
Alright then.
Just doing some research now on how to record both a DI track and a dirty/processed track at the same time with my Scarlett 2i4 and Reaper.
Also researching how to reamp haha

Sad, I couldn't see the pictures. I think that ezerath should get in touch with the seller though and voice some concern. I would not want to buy a modded Kemper, because you have no idea what else might have been done to require that. Of course, if all is working well, breathe easy, but there could be some future date where this becomes a problem. I'd do this especially if you were unaware of this mod.
Could you try some of the features to brighten or dim LEDs to figure out whether those work>
To record a clean and dirty track simultaneously, go to the output and change the setting for your preferred recording channel (main/SPDIF) to guitar/stack so that you have clean on the left side and dirty on the right.

May I have wine instead? That wouldn't be FLoyd compliant

Thanks man, I could dim the RED collar LEDs, so it seems to have been done well.
I have figured out how to record both a wet and dry track in Reaper, now I'm trying to figure out how to reamp using the analog inputs/outputs because my Scarlett 2i4 doesn't have SPDIF inputs!

That's good if the LEDs dim, other than warranty being voided, at least you have a unique Kemper !!
Send an output from your device to the alternative input on the Kemper. Change the input method from input settings to alternative input reamp. Adjust reamp sense for best results with distorted tones and you should also check that all levels are hot enough for a tone identical to your guitar directly into the Kemper.
