G-XT ant GTX is not the same box. It can be confusing.
Yeah, in researching these it gets a bit confusing. TC Helicon has a lot of similar products!

I never understand the naming process with a lot of products, not just audio but most brands never make it very clear and use confusing combinations of letters and numbers that are similar to each other.
Ingolf, what's your experience with compressors on stage? I've always been worried about a potential tendence to feedback.
The VoiceLive2's compressor is a very musical one, similar to an analog console that you drive hard.
I never had a feedback problem with it.
Additionally there's an auto-setup. You simply sing through it with your singing voice power and it sets up a compression setting which is fine in 99% (you can obviously change it if you want). Very very EZ.
I'll investigate this once I'm back:)
Happy VoiceLive Rack user here, 2 downsides though:
1. 2RU 19" case but still a 12V wall power supply.
2. Just a 3.5mm headphones jack
Effects quality is superb, imho.
