Hi all , I am running a digitech whammy dt and a custom audio electronics wah wah pedal which are both true bypass infront of the amp, so my guitar goes into the whammy dt than into the wah wah and than out into the kemper front input, as well I run the line 6 podhd500x via midi cable for foot controller, do you think this is a good setup ? I can use the podhd500x volume pedal for volume or expression but I was thinking of getting the mission engineering kemper expression pedal to add to the setup, is this too much ? would you do this ? thanks so much in advance. have a great one. Ed
too many pedals infront of the kemper ?

Well the KPA does whammy and wah very well, so you could potentially get rid of the dead wood by getting an extra expression pedal...
Cheers,

Are you playing live & gigging much or working more at home / studio environment or maybe both?
I would approach these cases a bit differently as I value compactness and trustworthiness in gigging setup with good enough usability. Less carrying, setup time and possible failure points. At home/studio it is nice to have the favorite pedals etc available.

At the moment I'm using the FCB, but when the Kemper remote is released I'll be buying one of those this doesn't come with pedals like the FCB so I've started looking at expression pedals and from the concensus here mission engineering pedals are very good. This is what I will be purchasing. Like said above the Kemper does wah and whammy extremely well so you could remove these pedals from your set up

Definitely buy a good expression pedal.
Personally I recommend the Dunlop DVP-3 of which I own 2.
Then you'll be able to get rid of your wah and whammy. -
Well - whammy has some unique sound - and they use some heavly secured algorithm (hardware IC's dedicated to whammy + patented algorithms) . Till now no one can emulate original whammy tone and audio artifacts produced with this unit (which can be advantage- look for Tom from RATM) . So i think KPA has good emulation ow whammy - but still it is not the same whammy.
But I must admit that from all pittch shifter guitar effects - KPA has the best sounding algorithms and very good tracking.

Thank you so much for all your input folks, I specially really like DamianGreda's reply, so true, thanks Damian.

What I want to say is that perfection is not always advantage:) Some folks out there are like the old style gear for their unique sound and imperfection.
