I don't know if this was posted before - but it will be a nice stuff - pitch detector fx or attack dedector fx - which will be send a signal trought KPA's MIDI out port .
MIDI guitar from the KPA - what do you think?
Fx MIDI pitch detector.

Unfortunately, quality Pitch to MIDI conversion requires a hexaphonic pickup, and six separate Pitch to MIDI circuits.
-
for chords, but it could work as is for a single pitch. AFAIK, that's how the pitch shifter effects ensure the time-scaled samples are phase-aligned when pieced together. the attack detector could work based on the same algorithms in the beat detector.

This is exactly what I want to say:D
Actually the pitch detection is working right now in the KPA fx(chromatic pitch shift for single notes). Just a matter of sending detected pitch noted to the MIDI out. -

Have you tried Jam Origin yet? -
Have you tried Jam Origin yet?I've not tried the desktop version. I've been able to get "synthy" sounds with the current Kemper effects for a couple of live songs, and the things I have been recording either don't need keys, or they are parts I can just play on keys.

Have you tried Jam Origin yet?The desktop version works surprisingly well, considering there's no hex- pickup involved.
So it's certainly doable to an extent. -

I totally agree, the polyphonic data should be available, pitch as well as envelope. "Just a matter of sending detected pitch noted to the MIDI out". Please do it! -
Bump!
Even if it would just be for single notes, I would really like this, preferably on a rig-to-rig basis. Imagine sending midi to a small synth module and receiving audio back into the Kemper through the alternative input jack for further processing (especially if you're using FRFR speakers)...
I'm always wary of forum posts claiming that a certain feature would be "easy" to implement (argh, remember those "I could program a rig editor in a couple of hours" posts?), but in this case the fact that super fast and reliable pitch recognition is already implemented for the harmonic pitch shifter should count for something... I think?
And I really dislike forum posts pointing to this or that other device that already has a certain requested feature, so I won't even mention the BOSS GT-100 here...

It would certainly be interesting, but having used synth guitars since the beginning, I'm not sure how feasible it would be to implement

Oh man and bends could be translated into modulation info (or whatever that little wheelamabob on my keyboard is)
