Mine SAID it was supposed to be here yesterday, but I suppose I will have to wait for it to come tomorrow or tuesday. Still, better to wait for it to arrive, than to wait for it to ship!

So, no one has tried the Morley M2 Control Expression pedal?
-
Absolutely! I think you will be happy with the EP-3. I am with mine...
Got it! I probably won't be able to play with it until after my gig friday night but its here! Thanks for the intel @dpeters95!!!
-
So what do you think of the EP-3 after playing with it?
-
Honestly, I haven't even plugged mine in yet. I was hoping to play with the 4.02 beta this weekend but that didn't happen.
-
I have been using my EP-3 for a while now and still really like it. I don't gig anymore but seems sturdy enough. It's a little taller than my Cry Baby pedal but it's no problem. I don't think you can beat it for the price!
-
After fooling around a bit today I decided to order a second EP3 for so I can have one dedicated to morph/effects and one for volume.

Good idea and more fun.

yesterday I gutted an old cry baby wah and converted to an expression pedal. Worked out great and now I have a second pedal or a backup for my mission engineering pedal. Luckily I had a momentary toe switch sitting around that plugged right in, added a 1K ohm resistor and it works perfectly...Hi Joptunes, did you do this method ? : http://www.strymon.net/strymon…our-own-expression-pedal/
Is there a way to make the switch useful to use the pedal as a volume pedal when switched off and wha or whammy when switched on ? I'm really interested about using old cry baby.I would be using the Mission pedal with the Kemper Remote and I really can't believe that toggling between volume and wah is not an available function with this setup.
Is it different know ? cause I don't have remote already (one day maybe ) but I'm also interrested about this fonction and not being able to use it through the remote...
-
@Pixelman,
yes that's the process I used to convert my old cry baby wah. Pretty straight forward process and works fine.
Make sure you have a three conductor cable/jack for the expression part, and a two conductor cable/jack (should already be there for the wah) for the push button part.I don't have the Kemper remote so can't speak about where that is on the feature enhancement side. I think they are still waiting to enable the pedal ports to allow you to turn FX or stomp blocks on/off like you would find for normal wah operation. I'm sure Kemper has it on the development roadmap just not sure where it is today.
The functionality to use one pedal for both wah and volume has been there for a long long time.
-
The pedal ports on the Remote support switches and always have done. The trouble is that using one pedal for volume and wah isn't officially supported (but still works with the workaround of having to do a full sweep before the volume tracking registers again after switching off the wah).
-
@sambrox, thanks for the remote clarification. I thought in the remote version 1 you couldn't connect the toe switch from the pedal directly to the remote and tell it to turn on/off the wah block. My mistake if that is not correct.
in terms of getting the pedal to do both functions I find that I only need to have the pedal pass through the last value of the previous function and not do an entire sweep. So when I engage the wah from the toe switch the last volume value was max as that's where the pedal is when it engages the toe switch. When I press the toe switch again to turn off the wah I just rock the pedal to a max position and then it engages the volume pedal function again. It takes some feel but works fine for me.

Ah cool, thanks for the clarification. I rarely use a volume pedal (there's only one specific project I play with that needs it for one song) and when I do, I take an extra Crybaby that I modded, which does the job fine.

Thx for the answer, sorry to ask but, in the link I shared, the switch is connected to nothing. So when you say "a two conductor cable/jack (should already be there for the wah) for the push button part" can you explain that please ? do you mean somehow there is 2 different jacks that goes in the kemper ? Don't you have, by any chance, a photo of inside your cry baby ?Thx.
-
Yes, two separate jacks, two cables; a TRS for expression and a TS for the switch.
-
@Pixelman
Sorry for the confusion.
On the normal wah you have the input and output jacks. One of those will become the toe switch output as the expression pedal. Those jacks currently in the wah are two conductor and will work fine for the toe switch. You can pick whichever one you want to be the toe switch. The other jack will be the expression port, I think that's the part that's covered in the video.
Both of these ports need to go to the keeper or controller you are using.let me know if that doesn't answer your question.
thanks -
Here are some pics of one of the ones I made :

Thx very much for those informations and photos, it will help a lot !!!
Another probably dumb question but are all stereo cables are TRS ?
For exemple, is this good for the expression ?: http://www.thomann.de/fr/the_s…_sk369s-06_patchkabel.htm

That should work fine

Hi everyone, so my modification of my old cry baby seems to be on the good way !!
I planed to paint it when it'll works perfectly.
For the moment i find the sweep too brutal, especially for the volume, a little bit hard to make slow swell. I didn't try the pitch yet.
I have a problem with my switch, i always need to push it 2 times to on/off the wha, maybe i did something wrong.
Here is a pick (sorry for the dirty work, i'm so not an electrical engineer !)[Blocked Image: http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/991445DSC08971.jpg]
