If you usually do not switch off your PC, but only put it to sleep, then please check in Task Manager (Process tab) if Rig Manager is still running, but invisible. Only one instance is allowed, so you can not start another one.

nope not running in background, always shutdown pc, really stumped?

It happened to me.I an running Windows 7 under Parallel Desktop in an iMac (an old iMac, in which I can't install RM for Mac).
What I did was to update the firmware and to reinstall Windows and then RM.
Now everything is working fine.
If you don't want to reinstall Windows (and I can understand why...), my suggestion is:
- uninstall RM;
- update the firmware of you Kpa;
- reinstall again RM with your Kpa turned on and already connected via usb.
i hope it works. -
so didnt want to reinstall windows, but folowed the advice, still doesn't open, click the icon and then mouse pointer changes to loading, then it goes to pointer and nothing happens

On windows, you might remove the local Rig Exchange database.
The folder is: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Kemper Amps\RigManager
Remove the file .RigExchange.db.
Then restart the Rig Manager. -
yep, that did it bud. it now works, cheers everyone for the help
-
Do you still have the damaged .RigExchange.db file in your trashcan? Would be great if you could send it to support, so we can find out why it prevents Rig Manager from starting.
-
I'll give it a double check but I'm pretty sure its still in there

Hi All, I am having the exact same problem except I cannot find the file everyone is talking about RigExchange.db
Anyone able to point me in the right direction. If you uninstall RM & reinstall does it delete all your files? -

just incase it ever does get deleted -

Thanks Raoul, I updated to Windows 10, then downloaded latest RM and everything seems good again (but slow), haven't plugged Kemper in yet but everything else (all rigs) where there. Cheers

Hi TIMO's solution worked for me, went in the app data,
deleted 3 off Data base files. Restarted RM with KMPR usb plugged in.
RM rebuilt Local Library. Marvellous !!TOP TIP. worked for me.
