Digitech Trio your own band inside a guitar pedal!

That looks like a fun pedal
-
yes, I hope it is highly variable and not always produce the same accompaniment.
-
That caught my eye too. Was planning on getting a beatbuddy ( one of the most unfortunate of names, in my opinion) a drum machine in pedal form, that seems to offer some cool flexibility.
The trio pedal has made that decision a little trickier. Will have to see how well received it becomes first.
The concept of flexible rhythms in pedal form is very groovy (sorry!). -
Interesting pedal.
-
Looking at the Trio myself as well...
Beat Buddy also picked up the "Best of NAMM" award. Didn't see that coming, TBH...
-
really interesting toy.. very curious where is its limit...

Available for pre-order at Sweetwater for $179.95: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TrioPedalhttp://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TrioPedal

Yeah, Thomann has it listed at 280eur. The prices in Europe have always clocked in a little higher and I realize the current E/$ exchange rate but this is ridiculous. Hopefully they'll tone it down some once the Trio actually comes out.

I am looking for something like this as VST or omputer based..
Especailly or drums - it always takes me a lot of time to click my drums together...
Is there anything similar? -

Use Band-in-A-Box then. The styles in the Trio are based on BIAB anyway.
BIAB is great but it has a certain learnng curve and it's not cheap.
But you con go entry level and upgrade styles from there. -

You are right, BIAB is somehow quite similar...
Thanks!EDIT: Just checked it out again... And it came back to my mind, what I did not like about it (except from the GUI):
It is some how not my style of writing songs... Normally I start writing by playing the guitar. I put down a rhythm track. Now, it would be great, if there is a tool, that listens to the Rhythm I am playing and adds drums to it.
If I just write down the chord and pick a "style" - it does not really feel as "my" song... -
This is totally different but u could check ezdrummer2. Makes it easy to lay down drums (sorry not speaking from experience just the demo vids)

The drummer in Logic can listen to another track (e.g.) guitar track, also Jamstix by http://www.rayzoon.com has been able to create rhythms on the fly and reacting to your playing for years.
-
This looks like a super-fun pedal. I wonder how intuitive it is when playing things that aren't 4/4.
-
4/4 and 3/4 are supposed to be player-selectable.

Great!
Just checked rayzoon - and will definetly try the demo!
I am happy, to not have a mac anymore, so cannot try logic.
Thanks -

Great! Ralph from Rayzoon is a clever and inventive guy, and I've been supporting him for 10 years now, checking my track record on Rayzoon's forum.
Time flies. -
Could not stop googling around... Seems like jamstix 4 is overdue since august 14. Cannot find further information on this.
Just from googling, I don't see, why I will not buy it.
Looks like, it is just the thing I was looking for - without really knowing it
Anyway, if I understand it right, buyers from today will get a free update to the next version - so nothing speaks against buying right away and don't waste time on always waiting for the newest version...
But if you support him since 10 years, do you know the new features? -

No, not much has leaked about Jamstix 4 yet.
During the last 5 years I didn't do much with Jamstix as I switched to Mac with my private and music computers in 2009, and JS was PC only then.
Mid 2014 finally Jamstix 3.6 for Mac was introduced, much to my pleasure. Took very long.it can be an awesome app and can be a bit of a learning curve as well, so I suggest you play with the Demo before purchasing.
