I received an email from Strymon about a new multi-switch they're selling for $99. In addition to some other features, it enables looper functionality without being in the Timeline's dedicated looper mode. For KPA owners who already own a Timeline and who are primarily interested in the KPA Remote for the looper, this switch will save you $500. In all honestly, I'd love to have the KPA remote! I really would. However, I already own the Timeline and FCB, so this just makes more financial sense.

Thanks for sharing this. Didn't know about the new firmware for the Strymons.
I own Mobius, Timeline and BigSky, so this MultiSwitch sounds interesting.
But 3 x $99 just for 9 buttons is a bit to much for me. And you can do all of this using MIDI as well. -

And you can do all of this using MIDI as well.In fact, with a board like the FCB, you should be able to do this with just a command on another channel. Don't see how the multi-switch could be doing anything special, just need to send the right commands to access the looper, I'm guessing.
Thanks for the heads up though, I'm really interested in these pedals, they're just soooo expensive.

I'm a complete midi noob, so I'm running the UNO4Kemper in my FBC. Are you saying that I can chain the midi devices (FBC -> Timeline -> KPA), and have the FBC setup (for example) to control the KPA Performance Mode on the bottom row and the TImeline's looper controls (including reverse, half speed) on the top row?

I would connect it FCB -> Kemper -> Timeline using the Kemper's through output. Just set the Kemper to receive on one channel and the Timeline on the other. You'll have to read the midi documentation of the Timeline to figure out what CC numbers activate the looper functions.

Strymon makes great pedals! Love the sounds from them! This is a great addition to them!

I don't really see the need for this. There are also already third party solutions that are better, in my opinion, like the Molten Voltage OZ.

There are definitely existing options for this, but this is the cheapest solution I've seen. The Molten is twice the price and twice the floorboard real estate.

It also has more options to compensate and is far more practical in my opinion.
