Hi,

thanksThe Factory 3.0 version of "CK Rotary Speaker" has the Rotation Speed parameter auto-assigned to Remote Button IIII
-
problem is, i want to control the rotary speed with an expression pedal connected to the remote.
But i don't know how to assign the expression pedal to the control change 33 which controls the speed of the rotary.
Can't find any information on that in the manual... -
Understood. An expression pedal would act just like a switch, though:
The Rotary Speed parameter has two settings: fast and slow (like a real leslie). If you used an expression pedal, it wouldn't give you a continuous control over the speed.
The MIDI manual doesn't apply to the Remote(yet?). I hope the Remote pedals and switches will eventually be able to control any parameter that we want to control
-
that's exactly what i want to do, though the expression pedal is acting like a switch it gives you a good feel for the rotary going faster an slower...
but i can't even find a way to control rotary speed with a remote button,
any suggestions other than reading the manual, what i've already done...
-
Maybe, when the switch functions are added to the Remote, you can assign a Switch function to a connected pedal.
-
i would already be happy to make it work with a remote button, i have a gig tonight and i'd like to use the remote...
all set up except that f.....g rotary speed !
-
Look at the 3.0 CK Rotary - if nothing else, copy everything else in from your rig, and use the pedal assignment in that rig
-
i'm going to try this, thanks
too bad nobody of the Kemper team can give me a hint except "read the manual"
*the times they are changing" -
You're welcome

I figured it out! The manual implies how The Remote "learns" switch assignments - it occurred to me what that must mean for Rotary Speed.
Go to a rig with a Rotary Speaker effect (or add one as an experiment).
Press the MOD button, so you can see the first page of Rotary speaker parameters.
Press a Remote switch, holding it down.
Press the Soft Button above "Rotation Speed".
You will see the Remote Display has been updated to show the assignment.
Push the Remote Switch - the rotary will change speed.
SAVE your rig with the Speed you want when the rig is activated.
-
now that's what i couldn't find in the manual, can you tell me on what page in the manual you found the solution ?
i defintely owe you one

The manual didn't specifically say HOW to do it. I just said to myself "If I programmed the slots to work that way, how would I program the rotary Speed switch to work?" As it turns out, I was right
EDIT: This the mention from the 3.0 version of the Reference Manual - I just found it on page 108:
Besides toggling the status of stomps and effects, each of the Effect buttons can also be used to trigger so-called "Action & Freeze" functions. Currently, there is one of these functions available: "Rotary Speaker (slow/fast)". We have many more under development.

Paul, I assume you have allready received your remote ????

Ohio is ever so slightly closer to Colorado than Michigan
Are you one of the Monday deliveries? (There are too many of those remote threads to keep it all straight....)
-
Nope mine is to ship on the 23rd

But how is itpossible, to use f.e. a performance-slot without rotary, then push a effect-button on the remote to activate the rotary effect and then push another effect-button to change speed. (this is the usual way for a guitarist to activate a leslie and the change speed). I don't see how that can be realized in the present configuration (and it is not described in the manual).

1. Assign one of the switches I-IIII to the rotary on/off
2. Assign another one to slow/fast
by following the usual procedure pressing the swich on the remote and the switch on the profiler simultaneously.
