I just got my uno4kemper eprom for my fcb1010 and installed it. In performeance mode, it works as promised. In browse mode, it does not switch rigs, but I can toggle stomps. I have firmware 3.0.1 on my KPA. Is there some setting on the KPA I need to have set for this to work? When I go into System -> Browse Mode PrgChg I see that the program changes are getting to the KPA but the Current Rig never changes.

In Browse Mode you need to manually assign program change numbers to rigs.
You do this in system menu.
The FCB will send consecutive midi program changes in sets of 5 per bank.
(first bank: 001, 002, 003, 004, 005. second bank: 006, 007, 008, 009, 010, etc.) -
Wow, that is terrible. You don't have to do that with EurekaPROM, right?

Of course you need to do it with the Eureka, too!
How is the Profiler to know what rig you want to have switched with a given program change?
There's no way around manual assignment. -
Hmm, I think my problem actually stemmed from my de-duplication of Factory Rigs. The older rigs were the ones already populated in the midi program assignments, so when I removed them it pretty much broke that. I'm working on a fix for that now and a separate tool for editing the midi assignments.

This is no defect of the uno chip. Its like Ingolf post. I only use the performance mode to switch rigs in this case. I dont have the nerv to set midi because for me the browser mode is only my data base and here i store rigs when i am tweaking. When i found a good profile and tweaked it i store it in performance mode. So my browswe mode is not statik.

Same for me. Browse mode is my general rigs pool. Performance mode is where I'm tweaking for a song and performance.
Still my post about assignment of midi PC's is valid.
If the OP has replaced his rigs with the new ones for 3.0 all previous assignments will of course be lost. -
On this subject, can you assign the bank up/down buttons to just switch to the next rig in browse mode without screwing over performance mode?

Performance Mode and Browse Mode are completely separate.
With a MIDI controller:
Performance Mode has fixed MIDI PC changes:
Bank One = MIDI PC 1 to 5.
Bank Two = MIDI PC 6 to 10.
etc.Browse Mode requires assigning MIDI PC changes to your preferred rigs (see the manual)
With The Kemper Remote:
Performance Mode Automatically just worksBrowse Mode works with the "Browse View" preference you set in the KPA - By Name, By Date, My Rigs, Favorites, etc.

Yeah, I know all that, I was just wondering if I can map the "next rig/previous rig" to bank up/down on the FCB with the Uno4Kemper.

No-this is not possible.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunate.

I've had the same learning curve issues with the EurakaProm, but overall I'm finding it a usable solution. Comparing my $95 controller to a $600 remote for KPA isn't even an option since I can't get my hands on the Kemper Remote yet :). I appreciate all the early adopters getting the kinks out for the KPA remote so when I can obtain one in 3-4 months then it will be almost plug and play ready for the less midi savvy guy ;).

You can scroll uo and down rigs in browse mode using a simple two button footpedal though. Wiring details are on Wikpa.
