I would like to ask if anyone knows the story behind the Kemper logo? CK? Is the thing on the top of the logo an mine elevator? And what would be the significance if it were to be one?

So it's a winding tower! Ok why was it chosen? Was the Kemper family coal miners? Just curious as to how the tower came to be in the logo.

The whole area where Kemper is located is an historic coal mining area and proud of their heritage.
