Wow that's expensive, I doubt it can be used as a power amp, you cannot desactivate the cab sim or get a linear FR uncolored amp section ?
This is too bad since a linear amp and a full range speaker would have been great for the KPA

Do I miss something? The FX return should work...
They might have committed a mistake calling them "THR"... Many people's expectations were disattended LOL

there already are a lot of options on the market... Would we really nee more?
I must admit, this sounds really good! Wow!
Yes it sounds good , hopefully it can be profiled , the hi gain sounds are great...
I'm not sure about the return, and about the CAB being full range or GR

Yes of course, but this one would also serve as a backup , are you still in production with your amps ?
Mhhh... I see your point Re: back up.
Are you referring to the Ambrosi? I've ceased my collaboration with them since a few
Sounds great!
And I know a lot of players who would love to have Kemper like sound quality with only 5 easy to use presets.

Can't wait for the upcoming comparing videos
Good times to be a guitar player
Hmm...
Well I was disappointed.
Would have liked to have seen it with 2 x 12 FRFR cab.
A lot of us would have bought one with that feature alone with the other amp features as a nice to have on top.
The THRC212 is maybe not exactly FRFR, but I'm pretty sure Yamaha engineers are not naive, and it will be at least "FR": enough to be versatile with any IR you decide to use.
THRC212 = Eminence Legend 1218 + Eminence The Tonker

Not FR at all. But they may post EQ the IR itself to match the speaker response.
Yep, probably. On the official page, Yamaha seem positive about the cab's versatility.
OTOH, what if the user uses a different cab?
Finally got to hear the video properly, as opposed to through my Mac speaker, and I reckon the unit sounds pretty good.
The video's sound is a little dull (lacking highs), IMHO, which would explain the lack of bite in the heavier channels.
Yamaha could be onto a winner here, with its success or otherwise coming down to the street price, IMHO.
I think it sounds great. Yamaha makes great stuff to. I cant wait for the in depth video from Andertons, i think i see you can work on it in a GUI?
Dunno. Maybe there are hidden parameters?
I like the switchable tube-type settings on the rear panel...

Guitarist Magazine are impressed with it. They've just given it 10/10 in their review in the latest issue.
Well... every guitar magazine out there knows perfectly well which side of the bread is buttered...
........ Which would imply that every product they reviewed would get 10/10 would it not?
