The venue in which I played this evening is a terrible sounding room and any amp I have used there in the past has sounded terrible. I used my KPA tonight and couldn't believe the improvement. The room hadn't changed, but my KPA was a joy to play through and I had a great sound. The KPA continues to surprise me. Just thought I would pass that on!
KPA love.

Nice one, and the KPA will continue to surprise for many years still I think
-
How did you monitor it?
-
I have a DXR10 behind me, on its side angled to point at my head. I also have the DXR10 on an Auralex GRAMMA which probably helps. I have the DSP controls both set to 'off' on the DXR10 and couldn't be happier!
On a different topic, I am wondering whether to buy the Profiler Remote. I am now used to using the FCB1010 although not sure if much would be gained with the upgrade. If I did buy the Remote, are you guys still using the Dunlop DVP3 as an expression pedal? I have been researching and I think I remember that you both recommended this particular expression pedal. I am hoping that one expression pedal will be sufficient using the volume to wah setting.

Honestly, if you already have the FCB1010, and you're handy at all with electronics, I'd recommend the Uno4Kemper chip and a mod on the expression pedals. You can get the expression pedals much more responsive, though I haven't tried myself - take a look on YouTube for the how-tos. The chip is a minor investment (I think it's like $20 + shipping), and you just pull the old one out and put the new one in.
If you're knowledgable with a soldering iron, you can do even crazier things, like phantom power the FCB1010 and have two-way communication via a 7-PIN MIDI cable.

Thanks @dougc84. I do have the Uno4Kemper chip already. I recalibrated the volume pedal a couple of times so that the tuner would be active when the volume pedal was set to minimum, although this feature has let me down when I needed it. It would work fine for most of the gig, but when I needed to silently tune to drop D during a medley, it wouldn't work. I have now assigned footswitch 10 to toggle the tuner on and off. This works fine, but I am really not keen on the FCB1010 expression pedals!

@Guitarjazzman: I switched to the Remote plus 2 DVP3 pedals (one would do as well). I was using the FCB Uno4K before but the weakest points were its pedals.

Yep very happy the feel and the sweep is good to, for the price id say it was worth it

Thanks Raoul. Looks like a good choice!

Same here. I didn't compare to the EP1-KP but made my choice before. No regrets. -

Hi Ingolf, is it possible to use the dvp3 as a wah pedal (it has a stereo out for expression), when yes, is it only to connect pedal 1 input from the kpa to the pedal with a stereo cable 6,3mm ?
At the back of the kpa are two switch in jacks. Do you think i can set all up like this:
Switch 1 connected to dvp3 like a wah
Switch 2 connected to a dvp3 for volume control
fcb 1010 old wah pedal setted maybe for pitch up like a whammy pedal
fcb 1010 old volume pedal setted maybe for pitch down?
With this kinda setup i wouldt use 4 pedals ( if it works).
Cheers

FrankYes not a problem at all this is how I use both of my DVP3's

Good to hear that you are both happy with the choice and have not felt the need to change. I also need to figure out the most efficient setup to save time setting up and packing away. My old pedal board was a joy to use as it was extremely easy to set up. A case/bag pedal board type of thing with a shoulder strap for the Remote and DVP3 is what I need to find. I do love walking from the car to the stage in one trip with KPA, DXR10, FCB1010, guitar, GRAMMA and stand. I look a bit overloaded on the way in, but one trip saves time and frustrates the other band members!

For the volume pedals i only need a mono cable, right?
-
probably depends how you hook it up.
-
Aha, just found this:
With a small bag for an expression pedal, carrying gear in and out of the venue should be even easier. Not a big job connecting the DVP3 to the remote when setting up (which I presume I can do and not have to connect it directly to the KPA). -
I use TRS cables for both my 2 DVP3's

So it s not clear for me.
Ok, the expression pedal schouldt be connected with one stereo cabel to input 1 of the two switch inputs on the back of the toaster and i can run it like a wah.
How do i connect the second one as a volume pedal? The pedal has an input and an output and there is only one input left on the back of the kpa ( switch two in).
Do i connect it with an mono cabel in jack two and only the input of the pedal to run it like a volume pedal, or do i have to use a stereo cable again for it? Did the tuner appear when volume is off?
