Anyone know of a great cable for the remote that won't bind, kink or tangle and that will support the remote with no lag times or any other problems? The one that comes with it is cheaply built. Someone at one time recommended this one, but 45.00 for a cat5e cable?

The cable that came with my unit is of highest quality and definitely not cheaply built. It's from Neutrik AFAIK. It doesn't do anything of the things you describe above, so I'd open a support ticket for this.

Cordial CSE5NH5, using it for about a year now. Original cable is now backup cable.

When I say cheaply built, I mean the cable is not relaxed and holds its shape instead of laying and uncoiling nicely. The connections are solid of course and the cable durable but I am looking for something that will uncoil and lay down. Use the original as a backup.

I've been debating one of these as a back up, is it a bit less rigid than the cable that comes with the remote? -
I pulled a random cat 5 cable out of my closet, about 8 feet long, and have been using it for the past several months without issue. I think the cable came with one of my routers or modems years ago and probably cost a few dollars. For where I keep my unit, I don't need much length to my remote. I imagine you would need the high end cables for the really long runs. I just found that having a 50 foot cable spanning 5 feet didn't make much since for me, it was too bulky and could get messy. With that said, it would be nice if Kemper offered different lengths of cable, I would of course prefer to use the nicer cables.

I am looking for a 15-20 foot cable that is mush less stiff than the one that came with it. The one that came with it works great but it does not lay down nicely like other cables do, so I hope that I can find one that meets my needs.
-
The stiffness comes from the fact, that the cable for remote is a standard network/lan cable. You could try flat patch cables. Not sure, whether these would be better for you.
Or get a Neutrik connector and build a custom cable at your defined length and specification (as I did).

@ragingben, the cordial is a high quality cable, it behaves like a good guitar cable.
-
Stefan, which cable are you referring to? That sounds like the type of cable I would like to get.

Here's one on Ebay

Yea I'll check this out. Basically looking for a great cable that lays down like a guitar cable.
-
How long a cable do you think you'd need?
On small stages and rehearsals I use a 3-m cable which works flawlessly, and makes things much neater.
-
The one I got with the Remote has never worked properly.I opened a support ticket back before Xmas and have had a lot of discussion with the team .....nothing forthcoming though
-
This is weird. Did you buy straight from Kemper?
-
I just ordered this one. We'll see how it works out, supposedly a great cable that lays like a guitar cable. It is a 20 footer plenty for what I need.

Nice find. There are several different lengths available. I've used some ProCo cables before and they were very serviceable.
I definitely need a shorter cable for home use.

Change of plans, they didn't have it in stock so I am off in search of another.

I ordered a 6 ft. version of this cable, it was shipped yesterday (3/14). I'll post back once I receive it.
