As far as profiling my Mesa, my buddy has the same amp so that's a possibility.
Should I make the trade?

Do you need a amp for gigs in the next months?
If yes: Difficult decission.
If not: Do it! You will make the next big step into the future for sure.
And I think one year ago you sold most of your pedals stomps.
But you have to know that you need time. That's necessary for sure, too. -
Thats the thing. I do play a lot of shows and would be learning on the fly. We play shows about every week and we're still adding dates

I can imagine. That's difficult. But if you get the money for both solutions, for one or two years there is no problem.

I would not risk.
You will probably love the KPA at some point, but it takes some time to get used to it, to find the right profiles, the right monitors, whatever.
If you gig so much, it could be an hazard to jump on stage with the new gear and "fix it" on the fly. What if you don't like it? -
Couple of things:
1) The main advantage for me playing live is to get rid of the conventional board and us e the built in Kemper effects. The kemper without a midi controller, for me, is missing the point.
2) The Kemper is so versatile that it takes some time to to find a sound you really like. You have to invest time
I was running an Engl with a massive floorboard. The sound was great but I traded it for a Kemper because it solve a number of set up issues ( far more linear/consistant than valves)....BUT if you've found "that" sound, it will take you some time to find it again.
I took that decision and I've had to work at it. Any change takes time to adjust....
Don't jump until you've considered all of this...In the end its totally worth it, but fon't under estimate the change...
