Further to Robrecht advices. During my last show, I had troubles with my laptop which plays the backing track and makes the Program changes. You know this common problem of Ground lift hum due to the AC external supply... when I unplug the AC supply, the problem disappears...

Good choice, djemass! The cymatic looks great, I only went with something different because I needed more than 16 channels (got a synth rack). But the Cymatic was on my list when I was shopping for one of these sequencer-like devices.
We are using it for around 2 years now.
The midi out can't send tempo signals, which I think is a bit disappointing. Other than that we had no issues.
We are running click track, bass (for the time we had no bass player), vocal guide, backing tracks und a special click track for the silent parts so the drummer can stay silent too.
Inear monitoring is done by a behringer xair. Everyone mixes the sources to what he likes. FOTH gets just the backing tracks.
We always keep a backup USB drive if one failes.
