Thanks, for your settings. It seems you have to set the peak range at ca. -50 like you suggested, otherwise the wah sounds kind of strange.
yepp, I agree it seems odd but that's where I ended up when it started to sound good...

I guess I'm a dumbass.
I've got a Boss FV500H.
Cable out of Boss "EXP" in to KPA "Switch/Pedal" 1.
Pedal 1 Exp Type 1 Wah Wah.
And now?
Must I press "Pedal 1 Init"?
If I do nothing happens.
?

You need a TSR cable (stereo) not an instrument cable
Yep, done, working...thanks.
what pedalboard are you using to crash the kpa?
Sorry - just saw this. Art x-15 ultrafoot.
I bought a midi Moose yesterday and installed 1.03 - now all seems stable.
I'm not sure about the wah settings either. The FV500-H controls all the parameters perfectly, but the tone seems to suck a little no matter what I do. For now I've gone back to a Fulltone Clyde in front of the KPA.
I'm still not really happy with the KPA Wah. It sounds always too thin with a lot of fizz especially the high tones.
And it is also not possible get some growl with lower tones
I'm finding my wah sounds in the "Low Pass", definitely not in the Wah Wah.
I'm by no means 100% happy, but getting closer.
This "Rig" is with a Les Paul, still have to work on Strat wah tones...which of course are ALWAYS better than humbucker wah tones.
have you tried the settings I posted in the first post? they seem kind of weird , especially the -50% setting but it seems to be a starting point at least for me. also depends on what amp and guitar you're using of course.
The problem is you shouldn't have to setup a different wah for every "rig", one wah should work for all rigs.
yuo don't have to but I couldn't use the crybaby with all of my amps either, (same with the bad horsie), because of tonal differencies
what I mean is that every wah doesn't fit every amp in the "real world" either

What is the status of the Wah presets? I know that this got a very low priority, BUT... Nice to have

The actual firmware release 1.0.8 does include five factory presets especially for Wah including these Cry Baby settings. As users can create their own presets, please feel free to test and share your favorite settings with other users.
Oh good, a wah discussion. Here's a chance to post my first stupid question:
I set up my expression pedal and confirmed that it was working properly by checking the numerical readout (1-~16000) on the KPA. Then I set the pedal up to control the wah-wah. Curiously, it seemed to be working (the filter was changing), but as I went from heel to toe the volume would cut out, as if the pedal were also set up as an inverse volume, or crossfade pedal. I couldn't find any setting in the KPA to explain the behavior, so I couldn't correct it. Does anyone have any clue as to what I've got wrong? Probably a default setting I need to disable?
Thanks.
