My preferred method is to hit the "stack" button for a couple of seconds, which brings the stack info into the main window. Then you can use the browse knob to scroll through either "rig presets" (you can save your most used amp/cab stacks here by the way for easy access) or "all rigs". This lets you keep all of your existing effects and stomps the same but just audition different amp stacks with that rig. I do this a lot.

If you find yourself using some favorite amp stacks, just hold the stack button down then hit store then save as module/stack. Then you can name that stack and it goes into your saved presets section so you don't have to scroll through so many.

You can do the same thing with the stomps stack and effects stacks to create preset virtual pedalboards and racks to get to quickly in case you want to add your favorite effects settings to a new rig you got from somewhere else.
