To profile a software modeler? Good question....

If you use a digital submixer this would be really nice...

Yes, that would interest me as well!
It would be great to profile a modeller via S/Pdif to avoid an DA/AD conversion stage... -

No answer to this question in a year's time?!?
Unbelievable.SPDIF profiling does not only apply to profiling modelers. Especially not when the KPA's Return input does not offer phantom power you very soon come to a situation where you need more periferic equipment between the mic and the KPA. I have booked a studio to do some better quality profiles of my amp. And they have a digital mixing console which I plan to use for
- providing the phantom power
- mixing multiple mics
- applying some EQs before the profiling (if necessary)
Wouldn't it be nice to avoid the converters between the mixing console and the KPA by connecting them digitally?

+1 - this would be awesome! Profiling over SPDIF (in/out).

Yes, but as there is still no answer from someone of the KEMPERs, I fear that we have to assume the answer to mba's question is: no.
So I have posted this idea to the Feature Request. (Although I still can't belive that is is not possible to do this rigth now. Should not be that difficult to enable it.)
