Distance miking

  • Reverb Time might be the parameter you are looking for.

To answer the other question: we have no plans to develop a room capture.

Ah I meant more like if the volume were visualized, more of a control to adjust that over time (in the image 4 seconds) like a this :

Which is why I assumed Damping would be it. Because obviously you want a lot of diffusion on the loud (close to the mic) bits, but to stop it overwhelming things to then drop back down further.

I just couldn't seem to nail a sound that was like the room (as you can hear and see in the profiles I provided), with that profile no matter where I adjusted the reverb, but maybe someone else can give it a shot?

  • Par
Do you profile with that much noise going on????
That would have to skew the profiling?
Its kind of like measuring with micrometer and doing the work with a hand saw....

  • My understanding is KPA CAN'T Profile reverb, room sound is a kind of reverb,so Distance Miking is not good?

OR as ck said,it does support it ,but we don't accept the result。
