We are aware of that little crackle that can happen on a rig change. This will be cured, but takes a bit of time.
I will have a look at the artefacts over Spdif. I will be out for summer vacations, so allow some time as well for this.

I have this on my new KPA aswell. any solution? Only appears when I connect the Kemper via spdif to my RME Ray Dat.
have you updated to the latest firmware?
I seem to get a few crackles or interval pops over the SPDif output (input into my ESI Juli@ XTE soundcard).
First thought that it was my soundcard buffer set too low. Will have to investigate further, but it seems that it's the KPA with the newest beta firmware.
Anyone else having issues over SPDif with 2.3.3.9457 beta?
I only updated to 2.3.3 last night due to Rig Manager expiry 
I use SPDIF and yes, last night I got a few random clicks and pops.
I've used the profiler via the exact same setup since the new PC arrived in September and, provided the profiler is set to 'master' it has worked fine. So the only thing I can point the finger at is the 2.3.3 software.... That is the only change and pops now seem to happen where before it worked fine. But I will test again tonight if time allows.
Now that this is mentioned I do remember recently getting a few little crackles when I first fired up my KPA and got past the boot screen last time I played it, but they went away when I changed patches.

This didn't happen before on previous firmware versions.
Also tried a system reset of the KPA but that did not change anything.
I raised a ticket about this last night.
In my case, it's not constant. A loud pop about every 5 mins or so that was not there before this software and everything else on the system has remained constant.

Same problems here since firmware 2.3.3, i can't put spdif sync slave on my soundcard, it's not taken in account, before with others firmware no problem ...
So some pops and clicks appears

Just to give an update on this: For me, it was the soundcard. Had it accidently set to Internal clocking. I still got a sound from the KPA, but with crackling.
When set to external clocking, the problem was solved for me
Just saying: maybe some of you guys have it similar to me. You will still get a signal from the KPA, even if your soundcard is set to internal/master clocking (but it will have pops/crackles).
Make sure you have it set to external/slave, and the problem should be gone!
Same here guys. When i'm using Spdif i'm getting that crackle!

Using SPDIF all the time without problems (RME Fireface UCX).
Your soundcard is running on a sample rate 44.1 and in slave mode?
Sound card is running 44.1 but what do you mean by slave mode? Im going out from the kemper and in the spdif of my focusrite scarlett 6i6 then into logic
