Tech 21 Power Engine for KPA...?

Hi everyone...

I´m a KPA-noob and I´m looking for a cheap (and portable) solution to make myself heard with the KPA in band rehersals and also to use as a monitor on stage. I don´t think that I can afford atomics...

There is also a 2x12 version available...

Are the power engines any good?

Right now I´m using an Engl 830/50 poweramp and a Marshall 4x12 cab without the cab. sim. on my KPA. It works but I´d prefer something more portable.

Do you have any other/better solutions (that are affordable...)...?

I'm in your same situation, to be truth.
I honestly don't know if i'd rather go with a cheap FRFR system (like the Alto Sxm112 or the LD System Mon 121) or with a 1x12" guitar cab + small cabinet.
If i find my way i'll let you know for sure my experience.

great rig i use the ENGL 930/60 and its a monster! Sometimes it pays to lug the extra weight.. but good luck in your quest bro

I bought a RCF ART310A and it's a decent unit for an affordable price. Best bet is to find somewhere to A/B different items.

Thanks for taking the time to answer...

I guess I´ll stick with what I have for now and sell all that gear I don´t need anymore (preamp, stompboxes etc.). I mean, the sound is great with the engl and that´s what matters in the first place, right?

I´ll be doing some testing with FR speakers also and I´ll let you know what my impressions are.
