But, if you read this entire thread, you will know quite a bit about the specifics, well in advance of its release

LOL
No, seriusly: do you really think a lot of firms would compete for a pedalboard for the KPA?
-
Is it too late to share an idea?

I think that it,s too late, but You can try anyway........, maybe in the future can be usefull.
-
Here are two concepts, the larger mirrors the Kemper interface and the smaller is a compromise giving up the Mod button.

I'm going with smaller.
I'm trying to put together a simple fly rig for touring. SKB makes a 21.75" deep 5u rack. The Kemper Rack and Matrix GT 1000fx take up 4 spaces total leaving an extra space to slide a small pedalboard on the bottom lengthwise for travel. If the smaller one is around 14" long (maybe smaller?), that leaves around 7.5" for an expression pedal and maybe a gain pedal. That would be so convenient to have everything in the rack, wired pedalboard and all, and check one thing! After getting stuck with WAY too many crappy backline amps, it would be so easy to show up with this rig and plug into just about any decent cabinet, and Badda Bing Badda Boom! There's my Chippy!
My other request would be that it is less than 2" high so it could fit under the bottom rack space.
Oh, and off topic. SOME KIND OF INTELLIGENT HARMONIZER...PLEASE!! It's pretty much the one thing keeping me from gigging with the KPA.

If you have a 5U, you have a lot of room in the back. Neither the Kemper nor the Matrix are very deep.
Here's a new small one drawn to scale. It came out to be 15" x 9".
Much smaller than this and I think some folks with bigger feet would have issues.
Could probably squeeze it down to fourteen...
Might fit into one of the cloth cases I've seen online. Don't have a case yet though.

Looks great!
I definitely have to have an ATA case. Checking a cloth case on an airplane would be guaranteed rig annihilation. Although, I supposed a smaller cloth rack could almost be a carry on. Hmmm. So many decisions.
Now if we could just find that damn elusive "Tesla Phenomenon" profile!

Probably too late into the design process, but I'd be disappointed if the controller weren't remotely powered by the Midi/network/other cable.
I hate to make sure I have a power outlet on stage... I've been phantom powering my Midi board for years and it's so nice to only have the midi cable running to the front of the stage and keep the power adapters behind the amp.

Dont think we need the bank switches, could have bank select on 4 and 5. Hit them at the same time to decide up or down.
-
Soon we can find out more about it like it,s say the Kempers sites latest news column.
-
On FB has been precised that the news is talking about a generic FC and not about the KFC.
-
Price ???

-
Not yet determined.
How well is it working for you at this point?
-
None of us got it. Honestly.
-
Oh well.......one can only hope.

Another vote for bigger.

Another vote for the smaller one!
