Hello everyone so my KPA is not being seen by my mac mini. I've already replaced the USB cable with a brand new one, tried connecting to my laptop (macbook pro) and neither computer or laptop is seeing my KPA via rig manager. My USB ports read other devices such as my keyboard, mouse and external HD's. I'm afraid I shorted the port. I was working on another electrical device (a/c unit) plugged into my power conditioner and while working on the device there was a short with sparks and since the incident my KPA has not been able to be seen by my computers but audio is working and other functions seem to be working fine

are you using the right USB port on the KPA? You nee. To use the one with a printer cable (USB A n one end and USB B on the other) not a regular USB A cable.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I'm using correct cable. Obviously if both sides USB A I wouldn't be able to plug it into the kemper (well I guess that's not technically true as the kemper does have a USB A port as well) but I've had my kemper for a few years now and I've always used RM and now the editor to create all my performances. I think the main question I'm trying to figure out is if the electrical spark could have caused a surge and shorted out the USB port on my kemper. Thanks again for the reply
