Step by Step...My first Profiles

  • Hi everyone,

here my first profiles of my "Hughes&Kettner" Grandmeister36 AMP

A lot of people are sharing their profiles here, I thought it would be faire to share mine too.

I used a Marshall JCM800Lead 1960 CAB 4*12 with Celestion G12T-75 Speakers(the box is in another room) and two MICs SM57 with Fredman Angle 45 degrees

Here are the profiles : HK GM36 LeadChannel.zip

    On A = On axis

    Off A = Off axis

both MICs were mixed together via a Focusrite 8i6 interface and sent to the return input of the KPA with return Level 0 db

Comment "Profile Mode" = what the KPA creates

Comment "Profile Tweak" = settings adjusted

The EQ settings were not changed

    no effects or stomps used

I only slightly changed the gain setting between the different versions

sometimes it's crazy what the KPA makes of it;)

let me know what you think about it....:/

Yep. That's great thinking and that's what I very much like about this community incl. the ones posting their stuff on the RigExchange. Such a cool thing :thumbup:8)

Your approach looks pretty professional with the marks on the cab to keep it reproducible... so, thanks for sharing!

  • Next step ... I tried today to profile the same AMP in the "Clean" Channel

    Settings via App Midi-Control:

Here the Profiles: HK 36 Clean Channel.zip

to explain, the numbers after the point mean the gain setting of the individual profiles.

maybe someone can explain to me why the KPA analyzes the gain settings differently?

    Cable length of the microphones?

Thanks in advance and have fun with the profiles, I hope you like them

sorry for my english with google translator;)

    VG
