Is there only 2 channels available for USB with a rackmount or toaster?

  • I've read in the manual that rackmount and toaster has only Input 1 and Input 2. While the stage has Inputs 1, 2, 3 & 4. Is this correct?

If I want to record a stereo signal and a DI signal using the USB ( needing 3 tracks) then I cannot do this with the powerhead/toaster correct? I would only be able to record a mono guitar signal and DI at the same time?

  • You could could use the stereo USB outs and the analog DI out. The guitar input is an analog signal, too.

I am trying to write another reamping tutorial during my finger recovery downtime. I want to stay totally with USB-PC for this one. I guess I will look into my DAW's routing to send the mono track out to a stereo track as an option.

One thing I found is that you can take the DI signal track and move it to another track and Kemper will still reamp it no matter it's position, or how it was originally recorded, or how it was originally routed -- which is kind of weird.
