The best preamp I ever had in my life.
Think that I have owned two of them. Unfortunately had to sell the last one to buy my KPA
Honestly, when i read the subject of the topic i hoped you had posted some rigs
By the way, as soon as i have a little time, I'll profile a Thunderstruck 120 owned by a friend of mine.
GOOD NEWS: I have Radioactivator here, I can have it few days!
I´ll make some profiles..

Yessssss!!!!!
If this happens in Italia may be it's one that I modded
No, not in Italy -here in Finland, you know: snow, polar bears, mobiles, heavy metal bands, penguins and -Steavens Radioactivators everywhere...
I must admit, I wasn't aware of this preamp, but I'm very excited to get a chance to play the profiles.

it came out 20 years ago..not a lot of those on the planet
Hi, all directly from line out -I myself use them KPA:s cab off with poweramp.
I did check these with VHT 2-50-2.
-clean
-clean+
-rhythm (3 versions)
-crunch
-heat (2 versions)
Rigs has been edited a bit, particularly in a "heat" section there tend to be a lot low frequences.
All feedback welcome, hope you enjoy these.

thanx Olli, will check'em out over the weekend
I'll check them in the afternoon.
I hope i have found my new reference profiles
Thx a lot, i love the "heat" ones. But why did you set the eq in such an extreme setting? I put the eq to neutral and tried my mixed 001 to 003 cabs. Awesome...
Thanx tylerhb!
When I did A/B comparison between the real "heat" and its profiles, there were much more low frequencies in profiles than in real sound...
However, I only use KPA cab off with a real poweramp (this was with VTHT 2-50-2) and real 2x12 cab (Palmer cab with v30 and Eminence Texas Heat), so it could be the reason to differencies.
With another sounds than "heat" I did not have that kind of difference.
Luckily we have those knobs to tweak in KPA!
BTW: what kind of guitar you use, with singlecoil or humbucker?
I have Luke with emg 81 in bridge.

Audio was recorded before the KPA, mabe i should redo it
Well, my opinion using them with Till's cabs, but consider that i was used to a 2x12" with G12H30, so some differences are probably related to a different cab:
You are right Jimmyno, the clean was difficult to get so 3-dimension and "woody" as the original.
Maybe I try profile it once again, like "heat" also -I cant figure out why those bass frequences are so loud.
And I have to admit: I have also made some minor adjustements in amp section almost in all profiles to get closer to the original...
-I think it could be possible to make "clean" better if using there more time with the parameters!
Anyway, I somehow like your feedback..
BTW When you have opportunity to profile Thunderstruck 120?

tylerhb -I believe you can get almost any sound of your guitar, very nice and versatile instrument!
Hi again: I dont know is it MY head or was it the new poweramp or whatever but today those "heat" profiles sounds now that they are much better if turning lows toward middle position. SO: please tweak my Steavens -profiles freely as you will -you get much more out of them!
